Advice Requested One-month old 07 Prius Touring. Tire pressure light came on yesterday. I checked the tires for first time -- seemed fine. Added a few pounds to bring them up to 38 36. Tried to reset the tire pressure sensors. Light flashes, then remains on. Tried several more times to reset the sensors. Held reset for longer time. Same result. Two questions: Is there some trick to this I don't know? There are only 1000 miles on the car -- can this wait until 5000 mile oil change. Many thanks. The forum has been helpful to me as a new owner.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Takoma Tiger @ Sep 10 2007, 03:35 PM) </div> It happened to me as well and after inflating the tires a bit, the light went off after power on/off. If the light won't go off, I would suggest to take it to the Toyota dealer.
Thanks for the thougts. A week later the tires are still fine. It probably is a bad sensor. I've lived for decades without tires sensors. I'll have them fix it when I go in for an oil change. -- Mitchell

Didn't I read/hear somewhere that there is also a sensor in the spare? Did you check the pressure in the spare?
