Hey all, My wife and I will be picking up our first Prius this weekend...a used 2001. Anyway, the guy we're buying it from didn't subscribe to the nav system, and I can't seem to find any info anywhere on how much it would cost, or if it's still available for the '01. Can anyone help me out? Sorry if this question is painfully newbie-ish, but we all start somewhere. Thanks!
I doubt you can install the OEM nav. system in a base model without spending -a lot- of money. Just get something like a Garmin Nuvi 650 (what I use). $600, works great, is portable. Easy solution.

It has always been a DVD that comes with the system, never anything to pay after the initial purchase. And the NAV system wasn't offered until 2002. So your only option is an aftermarket add-on.
