I've noticed that the driver's side mirror on my car has a fair amount of distortion. It's not just at the edge, but all over the surface. It is reminiscent of a polished stainless steel mirror, like you'd use for camping or putting in a locker. I know it's not due to the heated mirrors because my other car also has the heaters, and the mirror is perfect. It's not horribly objectionable, just slightly annoying, and I don't want to bother the dealer if all of the mirrors are that way.
I agree, I put the small convex mirrors on each side mirror... have found that I look at them more than the big mirrors most of the time.. Bob Andersen
Thanks for the inputs. I hadn't noticed before, but people in the northern hemisphere seem to take pictures of the left side of their cars, while our friends in the southern hemisphere take pictures of the right side of their cars.
I just noticed that myself. When I've taken pictures of my car (not a prius yet ) I always did the left side also, as it is the side I walk to every time I get in.
