We waited three months for our SPM 2006, a late christmas present. Aside from the green power message, the car looks clean all the time. The SPM is very reflective keeping the car interior much cooler on the inside, of course we think the outside is very cool. B) Mods and kits rear wiper mod - works great - no car wash trouble 1 year so far <_< door molding kit - color matched molding - perfect and easy to install B) EV mod - best ever - perfect for letting your car sneek around at night. Fog light mod - purchased factory grills and auto-zone fog lamps - nice B) 2inch toe hitch - the bike rack with two bikes drags the mileage to 34 mpg toyota mud flaps - a must have to protect the doors. best mileage 61 for 200 miles worst mileage 34 for mile - with bike rack and bikes average 47 miles - with heavy foot, short trips & max a/c Driving the green dream - $27K Please add us to the SPM club!

Sorry to re-post here, but I apparently submitted a comment twice. Since I don't know how to delete a posted response, I'm simply editing (Moderator help requested!). I'd still like more responses to my "polling" question about the gender of your named SPM cars. Click HERE for the post that asks the questions no one else dared post.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(jcon @ Sep 4 2007, 06:29 PM) </div> It would appear the name is gender neutral. She said the shape of the car and the green color reminded her of a jelly bean. I gave her the link to this site back in May but she never said if she joined or not. I will email her to follow up and see.
In deciding the gender of your car, I think you need to consider the driving style of the owner(s). As a mostly granny-style driver, I would probably never have a car that was a male. An aggressive tail-gaiting speeder would probably never drive a sissy female car. Now I know there are exceptions to every rule - but I have never doubted that Fiona was a girl. (My daughter just bought a blue Yaris she named "Cher" - the first name that occurred to her was "Bluto", but then she realized that the car was definitely not a big bruiser.)
i just need to drive it a bit more to figure out its quirks I have a feeling its a boy though. my cars are never a female except my BMW's only because it was always in the shop and i figured a boy car wouldn't need so much attention from the dealer
I so thought i was seeing things on the road in costa mesa california on placentia ave today around 4pm it was another SPM prius with a lady and her kid in the front seat. I had kept checking out the car while i was rocking out to my ipod. i wanted to wave or give a thumbs up but i thought she may not be a member of the spm club! LOL she prob thought i was some weirdo with my son in the back haha
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(KateBell1977 @ Sep 6 2007, 11:17 PM) </div> So, you're telling us this lady got a pretty good look at you? B)
yea she did haha its funny i am the only person in so cal driving around a green pri with paper plates that say Maserati Newport Beach on it instead of the toyota ones
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(a priori @ Sep 5 2007, 09:09 AM) </div> The other night, we parked right next to another SPM. They looked pretty cute together. My husband thought that they we might see little SPMs when we got back from our performance. But alas, when we returned, GiGi was alone.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(PineGreenJen @ Sep 8 2007, 02:30 PM) </div> You may have reached this conclusion prematurely. Have you noticed whether GiGi is a bit "off" in the morning? Are you finding she needs to go the gas station more frequently? Do you know the gestation period for Prii? Just wondering.
I just gt my 2007 Silver Pine Mica, Package #2 Prius. I'm really impressed. I had to turn off the MFD because all I wanted to do was look at it while driving. The car is fantastic.
Just got mine on 09.06.07 and am quite glad I chose the SPM (package #3) over the magnetic gray (which I would have had to hunt for)... I feel like it will be safer (more visible) and stay cleaner looking along with showing less scratches and such over time. I named it the day of purchase - The Green Bean - obvious, but I think it fits... I still wish Toyota offered and Olive or Forest Green shade though... I do like the way its overall color reacts to the weather and light... My 1st 400 miles have netted me 49.8 MPG - mix of City & Hwy...
ok we need to make some SPM club sticker or something so we know if we see each other that we are off of here. I have seen too many spm ones out there and i want to wave but i think they will think i am some weirdo blonde chick. i have seen seaside pearl ones checking out my car at stoplights and i smile and think haha i got the green one! or yea i know my car is gorgeous. my dh is making fun of me now because he sees a prius parked at my daughters soccer game, and it was black with tinted black windows and rims. He goes that one looks better than yours and i said you are so blind because i dont need to get wheels to make my pri gorgeous! i am not into wheels anyway. But the black one had these big shiny wheels on it. it didnt match the pri at all . i dont get it. i have seen some with pretty wheels on it that looked awesome but this one had ones that didnt match the car. Anyway SPM is the best color ever!
