Does anyone with an 08 model (any Toyota model) with nav have disc version 7.1?? Apparently it doesn't have the "I Agree" screen. Can anyone confirm?

lol... hmm.. I'm guessing because the 08s aren't out, nobody's responded to this thread. But what about other 2008 Toyota models?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Tideland Prius @ Sep 2 2007, 03:31 PM) </div> I believe there might have been a couple of people posting re getting an 08. I think AV1 one in Israel got one recently. You might want to PM him and post the answer
Just picked up my new 2008 yesterday; the "I agree" is indeed gone. A short caution message displays and then disappears automatically. Given how envious my wife is of this change, I'm now curious if we can get this on her 2007.
If the navigation system has not changed it should be as simple as <strike>copying</strike> buying the new DVD and putting it in the unit. I need to find an 08 owner around here that has nav and <strike>copy</strike> borrow the DVD and try it out on my 06.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bazineta @ Sep 9 2007, 02:55 PM) </div> You may want to try putting the 08 DVD in the 07 and see what happens. But if your 07 updates the firmware you may have a hard time going back to the older DVD because you would have to reset NAV drive. I don't recall on how to do that. You either have to leave it unplugged for a while or open the NAV up and push a reset button. I would be willing to be the first to try but I don't have a new DVD to try it with.

force, you just have to disconnect the battery so that the memory resets (of course that means setting the clock and the radio presets back). I believe that's one way of doing it. There might be another that affects only the nav and not the rest of the car. slapstick, you get it from the dealer... ~$200.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bazineta @ Sep 9 2007, 01:13 PM) </div> Thank you for the confirmation. Does it mean that now you have a fully functional NAV system and bluetooth even when the vehicle is moving? Thanks again, Gabe
I wouldn't jump to that conclusion, Gabe. The elimination of the "I Agree" confirmation isn't nearly as big a liability as allowing operation while in motion. But I hope you're right!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Rick Auricchio @ Sep 11 2007, 02:37 PM) </div> I'm with you Rick. I was just wondering with all the "excitement". The "I Agree" elimination is minor compared to not having a fully functional NAV and bluetooth and to me not worth $200 to avoid. Gabe

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Tideland Prius @ Sep 11 2007, 08:37 PM) </div> I have an '05 with Nav. I also have the lockpick that allows me to overide the "I agree" automatically (the lockpick automatically electronically presses the "I agree" button) and (after pressing a certain location on the screen) allows input while in motion. Does anyone know if upgrading to this DVD version: 1. Is possible? 2. Will mean I need to remove my "I agree" automated push? 3. Will allow me to be able to use the macro in the Lock pick to allow input while in motion. Rick
