<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Neicy @ Sep 5 2007, 05:38 PM) </div> Same problem. The www.toyota.com website that I see has 2008 Camry & 2008 Highlander, but the Prius is still 2007. Deleting the browser cache and reloading the web pages yields the same results (Tried this with both Microsoft Internet Explorer and Firefox). I suppose it's possible that if they are using a cluster of web servers that not all the web servers have been upgraded. Keith
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Tech_Guy @ Sep 5 2007, 09:13 PM) </div> I think FLTOURING is on the Florida Dealers site. Go to www.toyota.com, go to build your on, enter a FL zip code, and you are transferred to www.toyozone.com . The 2008's are there. However, FL buyers pay way too much with padded dealer add ons at $699 and additional dealer "fees" of $299. The FL dealer site only shows parital information based on their vehicle inventory. Most likely the national site will update in the next day or two. Regards, Dave
Silver Squirell is correct. We are refering to the SET (South East Toyota) region inventory. Just enter a ZIP code from one of those south-east states and you will be able to browse the inventory where you can see the 2008 models. The national site should be updated soon...
Is it just me, or does the Spectra Blue Mica look identical to the Seaside Pearl on the example car? It looks as if it doesn't even change color from one to the next... Now, the color chip itself looks different, but I'm not certain that Spectra Blue Mica is the color that most thought it was going to be...
Speaking of color, it appears that Barcelona Red Metallic is not available for 2008 Base Prius. Instead a color called Barcelona Red Pearl is available for the Base model while the Standard and Touring models get Barcelona Metallic but not Barcelona Pearl. There really are two Americas.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(fltouring @ Sep 5 2007, 06:59 PM) </div> http://www.toyota.ca/cgi-bin/WebObjects/WW...v169060e%2ehtml They now have it on the Canadian site also with a significant price drop from 2007 - as much as ~$3500. This will narrow the gap between US and CDN prices but still cheaper in the US. I did suspect (hope) that Toyota Canada will get the "message" that the price difference was just a rip-off especially with the strengthening of the CDN $.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Prius 07 @ Sep 6 2007, 11:29 AM) </div> I just noticed this as well! Base model is now $29.5K, reduced from $31.8K. Loaded model used to be $37.8, now it is $35.3. Of course, there is also the $4K in tax rebates, at least in Ontario. Of course, this kinda sucks for existing Prius owners in terms of resale, but I guess that is the price we pay as 'early adopters' (for our region, anyway). <_< Interestingly, Toyota Canada did not touch the Camry Hybrid price, which is now more expensive than the Prius (base = $32K), whereas it used to be nearly identical.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Sarge @ Sep 6 2007, 01:25 PM) </div> Look it the bright side of having the car as early adapters - that much sooner we are enjoying it and save on going to the pumps I can hear the dealers pressure tactics on the narrowed price gap and "you get the 4K rebate" argument. Never mind that there is still a significant price advantage of buying in the US and still get the provincial $2K rebate if not the federal one (TBD). Hopefully they'll also improve on availability of the Prius in Canada. I do see more and more of them on the road.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Prius 07 @ Sep 6 2007, 08:29 AM) </div> holy crap!! A fully loaded for the same price as a mid range last year? wow.. finally.. we get a backup camera without the nav! A couple of things I've noticed: - it's called the Special Edition... looks like Toyota Canada finally decides to give us "deals" which is nice.. after a few years of absence - auto-dimming mirror, Homelink and foglights aren't listed in the options. Either they're standard (in which case the "Features" list is not updated) or they're still optional (and someone goofed up the options list).

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Prius 07 @ Sep 6 2007, 11:35 AM) </div> lol.. well done! It's now competitive with the TCH (which I'm assuming they're selling a lot compared to the Prius) I've started a new thread with all the new equipment and options. We get the Touring Edition as standard!! http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=38384
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Prius 07 @ Sep 6 2007, 11:29 AM) </div> The US site is now updated with complete specs. www.toyota.com
Blue's not new... There are several blue ones around here already, which are either 06's or 07's... But I'm with you -- I don't see anything "new". Not even any new options or anything. Just possible color/price changes. I'll bet these are even the same photos as last year... EDIT: OOH. Now I see the "NEW" blue (in the other thread)... NICE! The old blue was kinda pastel-like. Sorry!
