Dang... it was a nice month and a half or so while it lasted. I'm sorry that i paid $200 more a couple of weeks ago.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(IsrAmeriPrius @ Sep 5 2007, 11:48 PM) </div> so now that I feel the 4GB model is now affordable, I think I may get it for my wife. I am wondering is there anyone here who bought the 4GB model and regretted not getting the 8GB for the increased storage? On her current iPod (4GB pink mini) she usually seems to usually carry a tad less then 700 songs where she usually has about 1 GB free.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(morpheusx @ Sep 6 2007, 08:19 AM) </div> A full length movie will be about 2 - 3 GB when compressed to 480 x 320 mp4
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(EricGo @ Sep 6 2007, 09:31 AM) </div> we really don't have interest in the video capabilities. I have the old 30 GB video iPod and aside from a few movies that I spent my time converting, it's nothing to be excited at, I would much rather watch my movies on the TV. I do like to look at the music video's though.
It's still $300 more than I'd care to spend on a phone, and there's no way I would get $50.00 a month of service from it. I'll still pass.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(EricGo @ Sep 6 2007, 08:31 AM) </div> No. It will be 500 Mb using h.264. But dang. Apple better do some kind of reparation for hurting the first adopters.
I just bought a "classic" 80GB Ipod 1 mo ago for the $350 price, now it's double the memory...dang, that sucks too.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Alric @ Sep 6 2007, 11:28 AM) </div> They are. $100.00 credit at the Apple store. Under Apple's refund policy, customers who bought an iPhone within 14 days of the price cut can get a refund of the price difference if they have the original receipt. Those who haven't opened the phones can return them for a full refund.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Alric @ Sep 6 2007, 12:28 PM) </div> Did you miss where I said "mp4" in my post ? Or where I said "full length movies" ? I prize multi-platfrom operation over best codec of the day, so I'll leave the DVD in it's original codec, and downsize from 720 X 480 to 480 X 320. 3/7ths of a 5 GB movie is 2 GB; of a 6 GB movie is about 2.5 GB. Clear ?
