I read that news report also, then I check the Maint. Manuals for all the Boeing Aricraft I work on and did not find one word about killing goats. Must be a local thing for fixing aircraft.

I think I'll avoid Nepal's state-run airline next time I visit Nepal. Mechanic: "Chief, the engine keeps stalling. I can't find the problem." Chief of Maintenance: "Let me check my manuals. Ah, here is it: For engine stalling sacrifice two goats to the sky god." And some people want me to believe that religion is not dangerous to society!
If its a smaller problem, say just a leak, would a chicken do? I am not as up on these things as I should be.
