It is taking a long time to defog the front window, but then I never had to put in the degrees in Celsius before. Anybody have a suggestion of the best settings to defog the front window in the shortest amount of time?
Of course make sure the vent is set so it is full force to the front windshield and use the A/C with whatever temp you want. The A/C will take the moisture out and thus clear the window faster.

This will save on the AC use. If that doesn't work use the AC as previously suggested. Were you able to change your display to C from F (you had a previus post on this)??? Gabe
I love the way you word things in Australia. Makes me want to visit there soon. I'd love to rent a Prius and tour Australia, too bad I hate to fly, maybe one day i'll get up the nerve or just get good and drunk before I get on the plane Ha Ha

Its pretty funny. My GF and I flew from SF to New Zealand in 2004. It was a 12 hr flight. That's about 9 hours longer than I ever want to be on a plane in one sitting. If we ever do it again, we will get one of the planes where the seat folds down into a bed. Expensive but necessary.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(avi1 @ Sep 3 2007, 02:17 PM) </div> My first experience with fogged windscreen was on my test drive. A cold, wet afternoon - I had driven the car a little and then handed over to the wife to give her some exposure to it (after all, had to get her approval for the expense). Hopped back into the car and fogged windscreen. Where is the button to hit the demister? The salesman had not told us about that. Found the button on the steering wheel, hit it and was very impressed with the speed the screen cleared. As far as I can remember, the A/C setting was on outside air, but considering that the key to it all is that you need to remove the water vapour, then recycled would be better, as the A/C is then really drying out the air that has already had some moisture removed. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(avi1 @ Sep 3 2007, 02:17 PM) </div> Don't get me started on hours on a plane - I do 3 or 4 round the world trips per year, all in "cattle" class. London/Sydney - 23 hours with one stopover and London/Tokyo or London/Hong Kong - 14 hours are the worst. But even a local flight (or what I consider local) Sydney/Hong Kong is a mere 10 hours. Anything less is a "walk in the park".

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(avi1 @ Sep 1 2007, 11:24 PM) </div> Turn on the A/C and set the air temp to between 65 and 68 degrees F. The cooler air is dehydrated and will eliminate the inside fogging very quickly as the cool air absorbs the water vapor off the window.
