I’ve had my Prius now for 4+ months and notice that when I have the Smartkey in my pocket, the anti-theft devices at the doors of CVS, Linens & things, Toys R US now go off frequently. Is there something with the key that causes these alarms to go off. Doesn't appear to happen when I drive my other car (Honda without smart key). Thanks
Quit stealing, and that won't happen!!!! Just kidding. I haven't had this problem although I am interested to see if anyone else has.

i set off the door alarm at macy*s yesterday.... but that was because the bimbo forgot to remover the anti-theft device! i haven't had a problem with my smartkey setting them off!

arent those set off by the magnetic charge of the theft device ? and if so how can the smart key mimic the magnetic charge ?
And it happens when you're wearing different clothes? You're sure there isn't an anti-theft device still left in that new jacket you're wearing? I've never had a problem either.
