in downtown olympia, we have "music in the park" a free concert showcasing local talent... its outdoors and for the last concert of the season, a better day could not have been chosen.... it was warm, low 80's, perfect weather for a twilight event. on the way home, i saw this and had to take a pic.... ooops... stupid cellphone camera....probably should have flipped the pic first.
should have, could have, would have? Well here ya go. . . <div align="center">[attachmentid=11026]</div> Wildkow
well daniel... if ya dont watch much tv (and i dont but it is football season) you may not be familiar with ATT's "more bars in more places ad campaign.... if you are nt familiar with it, you are not missing much.... i have verizon because they and sprints high speed network is so much faster than ATT it is not even a competition. now the company i work for just got an offer from Sprint for 20% discount on service, nights starting at 7 pm.... tempting...
Cingular did have a contest for images like that a while ago, but I guess that marketing campaign has been eliminated not that cingular has been assimilated.

Just a set for playing DVDs (mostly lectures from The Teaching Company (www.teach12.com)) in front of the treadmill. No television input. Not even an antenna. Just finished watching a 48-hour lecture series on Astronomy, and today I began an 18-hour lecture series on Archeology.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hjon71 @ Sep 1 2007, 05:30 PM) </div> I don't know that song. A few of my favorites are the B-Minor Mass of J.S. Bach; Swipsey Rag, by Scott Joplin; Tatuaje, sung by Pasión Vega; and Hasta Siempre, a Cuban song which I have in a version by the group J.J. Son. I also like Salao de Beleza, sung by Zeca Baliero, and Marife de Triana's song Bajo un limon limonero is really good as well. Baroque, ragtime, reggae, and Cuban son are probably my favorite genres. I'm always amused when people think I'm being pretentious by not wasting my life in front of the idiot box. After religion, TV is probably the second most destructive and pernicious influence in our society today.
daniel parts of your statement are undoubtedly true... that is the most popular part. we have a split household. my SO watches reality "stuff" ( u dont want to hear what i call it) like "baby story", "little people in a big world" my fave (MAJOR SARCASM here) "my sweet sixteen" and so on. i watch national geographic, history channel, science channel and bits and pieces of the news, (i channel surf when anything about any war comes on...) of the last 20 movies i have rented from netflix, 9 were documentaries, 5 were aimed at children 2-4 years old (my son is 5 months old but she insisted it would do something for him. expert recommend NO TV at all for first 2 years though...) and the rest were movies that billiions paid trillions to see... we see them for 16.95 a month
