Oshkosh Truck Corporation (manufacturer of army trucks, fire trucks and that sort of thing) developed a Series Hybrid truck. They claim it's 40% more efficient than a normal truck. It certainly looks impressive. :D

Watch the promotional movie they've made and notice the photographer standing in the wrong spot all the time.

Maybe this is a good alternative to a Hummer. :p

I hope they'll at least put this to good use for fire trucks and waste disposal units.

Wonderful! Also pretty dang funny. The only mental reference I have to the brand name OshKosh is children's clothes! Apparently the FULL trademark name is OshKosh B'Gosh. Everyone just calls the clothes 'OshKosh'. When I read the first 3 words of Batavier's post, I thought the clothes company was promoting kids' toy trucks. :D

I like what that company is doing for firetrucks. Very cool. As for the military hybrid vehicle. I hope our military uses them.
