Hey Prius fans. I thought this project might interest some of you, so I'm passing along the announcement: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Toyota wants you to be part of a network of young, creative individuals: a special project called HEYA. At HEYA.toyota.com, we have built an online room that serves as art studio, inventor's garage and screening room. The question that sums up HEYA is "What can we do together?" Why would you want to be involved with HEYA? - $2500 sponsorships and support for your projects - Get to voice your opinion directly to Toyota - Connect with others and collaborate on innovative new projects HEYA is limited to 500 members and US residents only. For consideration for this group, please take our screener at: HEYA.toyota.com
Ok, I applied....we'll see where it goes. I hope I'm accepted as I'm curious to see how it compares to the autoinsight community I'm on.

I'd love to do something like this, but I'm disqualified on two counts. Since when has creativity been limited to young Americans?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hyo silver @ Aug 28 2007, 03:43 PM) </div> Must. . .fight . . .temptation. . . must. . .not. . .make. . .joke. . .
There's *got* to be some hidden agenda here. It all sounds too weird, especially given Toyota's past history of acknowledging that anyone outside their company has two braincells to bang together. . _H*
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(LizDrillteam @ Aug 28 2007, 02:55 PM) </div> It is an "automotive community", probably sponsored by GM, where they send you an e-mail inviting you to participate in certain sponsored questions/surveys..usually 2 or 3/week that take about 10 minutes each. They ask all kinds of stuff ranging from your views on CAFE standards to what style cup holder you prefer to how much EV range you'd be willing to sacrifice in a PHEV when it's 30 degrees outside to have the heat at 75 degrees. Wide ranging stuff, but I like it b/c I've gotten some insight into the direction of the Volt. Here's a recent e-mail I got inviting me to send new folks...BTW, don't sign up with your Prius..they have enough with Prius already and are looking for other types of car owners. WE NEED YOUR HELP!! If you know anyone who would be interested in being part of the Auto Insight Online Community we want you to tell them about us! Please tell as many people as you want. For each qualified referral*, we will give you 1 additional point and an entry into a drawing for one of five $25 rewards. Please DO NOT email us their information. We must have them contact us! Have them go to http://www.gongos.com/GP6421/referral.asp and enter in their personal information. Make sure you give them your name and email address so you can be credited for the referral. Once they enter their information, we will contact them to see if they qualify. *We reserve the right to determine who a qualified referral is. btw, my e-mail, if you wish to list me as the referer, is evanfusco AT aol.com
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hyo silver @ Aug 28 2007, 03:43 PM) </div> I dont mean to be insulting to you personally, but its unusual for conservatives to be creative thinkers.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mojo @ 2007 Aug 28 5:37 PM) </div> That may be, but the real insult is calling me a conservative.
Are we for sure this is legit? I hate nothing worse than being scammed or having someone use personal info. for bogus purposes.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(LizDrillteam @ Aug 28 2007, 10:13 AM) </div> May I ask where you heard of this, or how you came across it? edited to add: Never mind. You know what? It's not really important. thanks for the heads up!
I started filling out the screening questionnaire, but the more I did the more it looked like a marketing tool. I never finished it or submitted it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hjon71 @ Aug 28 2007, 11:05 PM) </div> It's legit so far as it's actually a Toyota website. As for what Toyota will do with the info, you'd have to go in and read the agreements line for line...
