Hello, First, I don't own a Prius, but I'm an admirer of the car and may be looking into one when it finally comes time to replace my current car. Anyway, to business, I'm a grad student at Pratt Manhattan, which is a design school, I'm currently after my masters in communication design and am in the final leg of finishing up my thesis which is on advertising hybrid vehicles. My plan is to design an advertising campaign centered around hybrid vehicles, I thought what better than the most popular hybrid in the world. I do, however, need some help. I would like to interview a few Prius owners to find out their opinions on the vehicle and their motivations for purchasing one. Ideally, it would be a mix of long time owners and newer owners. The "interview" consists of a relatively short survey (roughly 6-10 questions) via email or even PM, that don't require copious amounts of writing to answer. If you would be interested in helping me out, and your help with be GREATLY appreciated, please PM me on the forum or reply to this post. Also, just as a warning, I would be asking for real names as well as location and gender, so I can reference the survey correctly in correlation to the other information I've gathered. Thanks again, look forward to hearing from you guys (and ladies)
If you don't mind me giving a fake name and fake address then I'll do it. Cause other than those two things I don't have a problem with it. I only have a problem with the name and address because you're a first time poster. I'm sure many of the other posters on here are as apprehensive as me about this.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(oihonvbere @ 2007 Aug 23 09:29 AM) </div> Aren't we all? At least you're upfront about it. It's good to see not much has changed since my university days.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(oihonvbere @ Aug 23 2007, 11:29 AM) </div> Sure, I'll risk it. Go ahead and send me the survey.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hyo silver @ Aug 23 2007, 11:35 AM) </div> Oh you beat me to it. oihonvbere, hook me up with the survey. My three-year anniversary is tomorrow.
"gender" might have been a better choice of words.  Though, really, there's no vice in asking for sex as long as it's done politely.
Sorry, oihonvbere, I completely forgot about being gentle with first timers. Sure, send me the survey - I'll try nearly anything once - but the mask stays on.
You know, you might also do some searches here on Priuschat. We've had a number of polls and posts about things such as how old you are, how much money do you make, what car did the Prius replace and even why did you buy a Prius.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Alexstarfire @ Aug 23 2007, 12:35 PM) </div> Understandable, I assure you it's all for the sake of "science", and I'm talking general location, as in City and State, I don't need a description of your house or anything. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(tripp @ Aug 23 2007, 12:55 PM) </div> You know what, as I was writing it, I knew there must be a better way to word it, don't know why gender didn't come to mind. Thanks! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Godiva @ Aug 23 2007, 01:58 PM) </div> Thanks for the tip, I'll check that out, very helpful. To everyone that has said yes so far, first THANK YOU, and I'll get the surveys out to you tonight.
What the heck ... I'll help out. I'd love to see the thesis (or at least the advertising campaign) when you're done.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(oihonvbere @ Aug 23 2007, 02:49 PM) </div> I'll do it, I am in grad school myself and anything to help out a fellow student and Prius enthusiast. I am a new owner 1-2 months.
Reasonable request If you expect people on this site to give you information then you should do the following: 1) Give your full name address, phone number and e-mail address 2) Give your college name, address, phone number to the administrative department so we can verify that you are a student. 3) Give the name and phone numbers of the dean of your department and sponsoring professor for this project. If this is a real request, the person will have no problem listing these items in a post so we can verify that this is legitimate I recommend each person who responds to this request should do your homework(no pun intended) before giving out your personal info to a 1 poster. Another possibility: Get a sponsor from this site. A moderator would be a good person if you could get them to do it. That way that person could check it out and see if this is a legitimate request. Then they could post for you and you will get many more responses from people like me.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bestmapman @ Aug 23 2007, 07:40 PM) </div> I assure you it's a very real request, and I'm completely willing to give whatever information anyone needs, but I'm not willing to post more than my basic information on the forum, probably for the same reasons you (and others) may feel so skeptic. However, just to be clear, the most personal question (in terms of personal info) on the entire questionnaire is your general location, age, sex and name. I'm not going to be calling you up, so I'm not requesting a phone number, or a social security number, or anything nearly that invasive. I know we live in a world where it may seem like everyone is out to get you on the internet, and I was aware some people would take my request the wrong way, but I, at least, have no intention of using this information for anything other than my project. So for those that need it: My full name is Oje Ihonvbere, I live in New York and my email is available upon request. Those that PMed me and requested to be contacted by email, I replied through my personal gmail account and can be reached via that address at any time. I don't have a problem with giving it out, but don't want to leave it out here for the spam spiders to find. I attend Pratt Manhattan 144 west 14th street new york, ny 10011 Phone: 212.647.7573 To verify my attendance, you can ask a receptionist at that number or personally ask for Zulema, who is the assistance to the chair, she knows me well. My sponsoring professor is Tony Dispigna, a rather well known typographer and designer, but he won't be available till Monday (Aug 27th) when the semester restarts. Thanks

Mine will definitely be from a new perspective if you want: 2 weeks old on Wednesday. What a wonderful, fun car. GT
