im going to tint the rear windshield tommroow on the 05 prius since its a split , the one located right above the license plate is a tint thats tempered on from factory?, i was wondering if i should tint over it.

I didn't re-tint the tinted part, (saved a few dollars) just the upper rear windshield -darker. From the back, they both seem equal and dark enough that you can't see inside anyways.
When I got mine tinted they didn't do the lower part. It didn't match so I went back and added it on.
The lower part is already tinted and is usually left out of a tint job or kit. I got 35% all around and left the lower part alone; they said they'd do it for free anytime if I decide I want it. I like it the way it is... then again, I tinted for heat control, not for privacy or to "look cool".
