treehggr, you have the ebay ones right? Take photos when you have them installed! How much were they again? (cause it seems he has the items all over the world.. sometimes it says HK, sometimes US and sometimes Australia)

I updated my first post on this thread.

Tideland - The bulbs were $6.79 for two and yes they're the ebay ones.

ooh very nice. So they do light up the plate nicely and not certain areas only.

Excellent.. so which bulbs did you get? I mean the exact ones.. he seems to have dozens of 168/194 type bulbs and like I said, they seem to be from all over the world - HK, US, Australia...

Hey, nicely done! Congrats on getting that panel off of there. I greased my clips last time. I'm gonna see if it is easier to get off now. Looks great. I asked the seller a few questions. I'm not sure he understood what I was asking, but these seem to only have a resistor. I hope they last for you! Cheap enough to be disposable, anyway. They look super, and certainly aim correctly.

Tideland Prius - The exact lights are listed as "2pcs 168 194 Refractor 5 LED (Xenon White) Wedge Bulb" in his ebay store. These ones were from Hong Kong as were my interior ones.

Darelldd - Thanks, and I hope they last for me too. If they fail I'll just reorder. Shipping is extremely fast even from HK.

I just ordered a pair. I am still missing one for my front dome light so I am going to try one of these there as well.

The license plate only need one LED blub right? This will be a great mod since I've seen new Lexus with white License plate light that looks like LED also.

I had LED license plate bulbs installed as well and they look great. I did not want to fuss with it though. I had an auto body shop do it for 1 hour of labor or $45. (PS they said they did break some clips but had some spares in in shop that they replaced them with).

Finally took this picture. Notice where the shadow of the bumper ends at the lower right hand corner.

Looks good... My middle is slightly blocked by my rather bulky screw for the plates.

You know, I had them on for the first time today (haven't driven at night since the installation). They look waay brighter than when I saw them in the garage with the lights off.. I don't know why it's any different. But yeah, they do light up the entire plate area and the bumper! Also, they have a slight hint of blue to them... bluer than those on the 2007+ Lexus cars.

So how long did these end up lasting for you? I honestly don't want to buy the bulbs only to have to go through that PITA process every 3, 6 or even 12 months!

Thank you for sharing this information, very helpful. A couple of questions: Did you just get your fingers behind the edges and yank on
it? Did you buy the replacement clips and clip remover from the Toyota
    Dealership?

I have purchased the new led bulbs for the licence plate, but have not had the courage to remove the rear cover yet.

    Thanks-
