I haven't heard much about Shark Fins, lately. I'm very interested in putting on a "good" one. By that, I mean one that can bring in AM staions at least as good as the factory antenna - Any info would be appreciated -
Unless you get a shark fin antenna with an -additional- amplifier in it you will get poorer reception than the whip antenna (the car has an amplifier in the antenna lead). With non-resonant antennas size is everything! If they put an amplifier in the sharkfin, I don't know where they would get power for it.
Well if you are in the Bay Area like me, you probably aren't getting good reception anyway, might as well look cool while listening to static. I had to get the satellite radio in mine, I can't stand losing stations.
