Drove home today with the fuel light flashing saying add fuel. I know others have ran out of gas, but I pushed it to make my first ever 600 mile tank. After filling up, it took 10.9 gallons for an average of 55.07 mpg. Now I guess the goal will be 700 miles, but I'm going to have to change my driving to make that one. Love my Prius!

The best thing from running your tank down like that is that you know for certain that you now have 10.9 gallons in your tank so if your goal is a 700 mile tank, you need to keep your average above 64.3 (not an easy task, but it can be done) Good luck
