Hi all, I'm new here but I noticed in some posters mentioned they were able to go over to the Toyota website and under the build your car feature, look up by a specific zip code or region what cars Toyota shows on the ground and available. Can someone tell me how this is done? I went over to site but the furthest option I get is to contact the dealer once I've "built" my car. Alternatively, can someone look up for me what 2007 Touring Models are available on the ground right now, and in-coming? I prefer Gray or White or any color (seems not much choice now). Thanks.
At some point, it will tell you what dealers are in your area. You can either request a quote (right hand side of the screen, I think) or follow the link to their website. On the dealer site, you build your car again and then it should show you the list of "available" or "in stock." Available is what you can order, in stock is what they (should) have on the ground. that's how it worked for me. Good luck.
I see. Thanks. It sounds like its would be quite a bit to check all the dealers... wow, some of the other posters really did lots of homework! Thanks again. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Dixiechick @ Jul 24 2007, 12:28 PM) </div>
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(mommydewdrops @ Jul 24 2007, 11:33 AM) </div> That feature is apparently available only in the Southeast and Gulf regions where Toyotas are imported by independent distributors. You are directed to different websites than the one operated by Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., based upon the Zip code that you enter when you start "building" your car.
Once you get the name of a dealer, go to their site and click on "new inventory" You can find dealers in your area through the yellow pages or search function of your computer. Then "browse" the dealers for what they have. When you find something call. But if you are that specific you need to be ready to buy at their price. Personally I got tired of waiting for what I wanted at the dealer I wanted - so I compromised on the car for the sake of doing business with the dealer I have worked with for my previous cars. From what I am hearing here about other dealers I think I must have a really good one. I wouldn't go anywhere else even though there are several near me that have plenty of Prii. I just know my dealer is truthful when he says what he has in the lot.

Hi everyone who posted, thanks for the advice.. I'll check out the carbuyingtips website. I did spend some time last night doing the click on dealer website route and got a few quotes put through.. it does take a while, but I guess I'm obsessed with trying to get a low price... (or nuts). The best quote so far is $500 over invoice for the car with color I want. for a different color, the best deal was at invoice (this is the touring model). Hmm. I wish I had looked several months ago... apparently there were deals to be had on these tourings and also because of the "June quarter" closing, dealers wanted to move inventory. Oh well, I guess its just money :0 -- the best price so far was the $25,188 that was available in Anaheim back in May. Dealer says he has so few cars, he just can't do it. I totally understand. Thanks everyone.. I may just end up waiting and see what the 2008's will be like. I'm sure in a few months there will be deals on any leftover 07's... but then can't be too picky. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Neicy @ Jul 24 2007, 04:19 PM) </div>
