Hi we bought our prius yesterday 7/8/07. We shopped by internet and got about 10 quotes from dealers in the greater SF bay area. Capitol Toyota in San Jose offered the best price. Silver pine package 6 with floor mats. $25,715.00 (plus tax & License).
I thought it was package 5 but now I realize it is package #6 2005 Package 6 Navigation, Alloy wheels, Bluetooth, Upgraded JBL sound, 6 disc changer, Smart Key Used with 14137 miles on it. Yes it was a salvage vehicle but it looks new they did such a great job on it. Paid $14,000 will take me a few weeks to get a title since I purchased it in NC and I live in GA. It has to be inspected by GA DMV and they want $118 for the state plus $75 for inspection. The small price I have to pay to be legal but a great price. D Rock
I am waiting for mine to finish processing after coming off the boat 2007 Magnetic Gray Package #4 $24,100 (tax/title/registration not included) Fremont Toyota Ask for Tom Hartmann-Internet Sales/Fleet Manager I used the info from carbuyingtips.com and it is just about what they say is a fair profit for the dealer and a good price for the consumer I can't wait to play the MPG game *Update* I have been driving it for a week and LOVE it. I am at 48 MPG halfway through my 1st tank have discovered I can charge the battery to green if coast down the hill from Cal State East Bay.
I got my 2005 with 16k on 6/6/07 for $19,995 plus T/T/L. After looking around for about a month at surrounding dealers within 100 miles, this was a great find. Finding a used Prius to actually buy was difficult so I was ecstatic to get one with low miles AND a low price tag. In fact, the sticker price on the car was $22,995 on the lot. The internet price was $20,995 so I was even more delighted to walk up to "Tink" and find a $19,995 sticker on her! An added bonus was cancelling the $1960 extended dealer warranty and buying the $990 Toyota warranty through Troy. Thanks, PC!
'01: MSRP + $0 for the "$700 VIP package" '05: MSRP + $260 for the "$800 VIP package" '06: MSRP + $260 for the "$800 VIP package", less $2500 trade-in for a Saturn with a stated value of "just get rid of that thing before it kills me... and don't sell it to someone who's going to sue us when it kills them."
2007 Toyota Prius, Classic Silver Metallic, Package #4 Additional Items: Tinted Windows, Cargo Net, Floor Mats Phoenix, Arizona (dealership in Scottsdale, Arizona) Purchased New Base Price: $24,000.00 Sales Tax: $1,908.00 Dealer Documentary Fee: $389.90 Some Other Fee: $395.29 Out-the-Door Cost: $26,693.19
Took delivery of my 2007 Magnetic Gray w/pkg #3 this afternoon! $24275 (with mats and bumper protector) Straightforward negotiations, good experience overall. We talked to several dealerships over the past few months, but ended up using Burien Toyota. I'd recommend them to folks in the Seattle area that are looking for a no-nonsense experience. Stephanie
Just bought 07 BASE Magnetic Grey in Pkg #4 with Mats on 7/20. Searched all over Bay Area and none of the dealers had them in Grey. Some were coming in one/two weeks. I got mine from Toyota Walnut Creek from Nancy Ware (Internet Dept). We worked out pricing over the phone and got it to $24232 ($300 over invoice). I called every dealership to match her price and they wouldn't. They said we don't have any Greys and when it comes in, we can't match it. I think I paid more to get that Grey color because Nancy said I can get any Pkg 4 in stock for $23695. One of the best car buying experiences I've had (and I've been to many, even Luxury car dealerships). Highly recommending Nancy and Toyota Walnut Creek.
I picked up my 2007 Touring Magnetic Gray with package #6 yesterday. I shopped around on the internet and placed my deposit for one to be delivered around the end of August, but another dealership had one become available when the buyers took deliver on another Prius with a different package. Mine has the Extra Mile Option Package C, Glass Etch and Vehicle Shield Package; sticker price was $29,6000 and we paid $28,000 even. We did the whole deal over the phone, including my trade-in, and then we drove about 4 1/2 hours to get it. I would highly recommend Cavender Toyota in San Antonio, TX! Their internet sales make it super easy and you don't have to wait to speak to financing because the internet team has their own office with a finance team dedicated to them. This was the best car buying experience we have had to date.
We bought July 31. Seaside Pearl Package 3, in the Seattle area. We paid $24,200. including carpet mats and rear bumper applique. Dealer was great -- there were no "surprises." For this reason, we can recommend Bob Bridge Toyota in Renton.
Just got a new 07 Black package #6 for $26150 before taxes/fees from Toyota Alameda. That included floor mats and bumper protector. Definitely recommend sending an email to all the Toyota dealers in the area asking for offers for exactly the car you want. I was able to play a few dealers off each other and get the price down quite a bit.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(icharry @ Dec 13 2006, 03:01 PM) </div> Where do I find out what amt. of tax deduction we can take on our 07 Prius Pkg H....?
I didn't do as well as some since I ended up paying 26,200 for a package 6 with floor mats. I love the car, but hate the dealer I ended up buying from.
We just got a quote for $21,688 on a pkg #2 2007, including car mats but not T&L, and we are going to go for it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(freddyfoxx @ Jul 22 2007, 10:59 PM) </div> I agree. The buying experience was pleasant with Nancy plus her husband and son helping out. I have purchased two Prius' from her. A 2007 #6 in Magnetic Grey for myself in May for $25,965 (with mats) and a 2007 #2 in Black for my son in July for $21,770 (with mats and an applique).
Lurked for a while, first post...thanks for all the great information guys. Purchased my new 2007 Barcelona Red Prius today, package 2 with locks and mats, $21900 - $400 college discount so $21500 out the door. Prime Toyota in Saco, ME. I live in NH so as long as I register the car in NH I don't pay tax. I financed for 3 years to get the $400 college discount, going to pay it off as soon as I get the first bill. I was also offered the platinum warranty package for $900 with no deductible. If anyone is purchasing in the area, send me a PM and I'll do my best to help you get the same deal.
2007 Magnetic Grey, pkg5 with 2 miles on it Car cost - $25,300 before TT&L Paid extra on top of that for extended warranty (which is the only part I regret... did plenty of research on the car, but not enough on extended warranties!) Lovin' the new ride.
Feb 19, 2007 bought my Seaside Pearl 07 package 3 with 5 miles on it for $23,600 OTD with floor mats. Financed thru TFS for 5 years @ 4.9%. My only regret is not waiting until March when the interest rate dropped to 2.9%. I bought it from Gresham Toyota and would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. Run far, far away from Broadway Toyota. They tried to sell me a Prius without the sticker! Apparantly, it is illegal to sell as new once the sticker is removed from the window.
