The 12 hours of footage they shot translated into about 3 minutes with plenty on Wayne Gerdes and some nice shots of Linda handing out awards and Bill Kenney.
I haven't the slightest idea what you are talking about. I assume it has something to do with the Prius, but some context would be nice for those of us living under rocks. Tom
For those of you who do read hieroglyphics...... He's referring to the 12 hours of footage shot by Good Morning America during Hybridfest 2007 in Madison this weekend. Wayne is the owner of CleanMPG.com and a serious hypermiler, Linda is one of the organizers of Hybridfest and Bill was the winner of an MPG challenge held during the Hybridfest activities. We got really lucky and caught the GMA segment on Monday morning at Wayne's house, and we all couldn't believe how badly they mangled the whole concept of hypermiling. Dwelt on the "dangerous" stuff that very few of us ever actually do, or do with any regularity. Those media assclowns are sensationalist to the core, just because they think it grabs more eyeballs, and the facts suffer because of that. . If anyone from GMA or affiliates ever reads this, TAKE THIS LESSON that you really screwed up the whole thing, and if there was any way we could hope to obtain recourse or some personal accountability, we would do it. If you have any decency, you will put together a much more in-depth followup that explores the real, tangible benefits of what we do instead of making us all look like freakazoids. . _H*
