Last night we were driving over the hill from the coast to see a play, and I counted 16 little gems driving the opposite direction in the space of about 10 minutes!! We live on the coast just south of San Francisco, so it's not like it was on the freeway but on the road to the coast. I was very impressed! Anyone else counting?? Victoria
No Prius counting for me anymore... since there are so many now. Instead, I count Camry-Hybrid... which I "only" see a few per day of.
i live in pacifica north end off manor and have had my magnetic grey 2007 package #2 for a week. i'm still enthralled and see lots of these in pacifica, but not grey. lots of greys in san fran. best, shotsy

I live in Denton, a quasi-university town in the North Texas area near Dallas/Ft. Worth. This morning on my usual Saturday excursion, I counted 11 on my way to the home improvement store alone. And, believe it or not, I parked amidst 8! It looked as if we were having an informal gathering at Lowes! I am really enjoying the new ride - most people still cannot believe I traded an E320 for this little jewel, but it sure is fun. Marc
Back in 2005 I counted, and normally it was one a day. If I count now it's how many Seaside Pearls I see.
I started counting Prii/Prius'/Priuses that I encountered on my lunchtime walk (about 30 minutes) and usually saw between 6 and 12. Now I can't stop. "OK, I'm not gonna count today. Ooh, there's one, there's two. damn..."
Not counting much here in Seattle suburbs, but sometimes we'll count how many times we see 2-3 in a row or side-by-side. Usually several times an hour. Seeing 4 in a bunch on the road is really unusual, might only see that once a week or so.
Driving to Richmond, VA on Wednesday, we got into Sesame Street. "Twenty-one Prius cars !! Twenty one !!! Ahh, Ahh, Ahh, Ahh !!! I luff it !!!" [attachmentid=9978]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(BellaHMB @ Jul 21 2007, 09:02 AM) </div> No but DONT YOU HATE IT when there so many priuses whos colors are the same as urs. as in my case many red ones!!! GAH I HATE IT EVEN MORE WHEN THEY BOUGHT THEIRS AFTER ME AHHH   <_<
My challenge is to actually see another Prius!!! They are still rare birds here in Sydney. I consider myself lucky if I see one other on my commute, both to and from, each day.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Doc Willie @ Jul 21 2007, 10:42 AM) </div> LOL no I don't count them any more. Waaay to many here. I can still count TCHs but I still see 2-3 every day now.
I still love to count! (1 1/2 months after purchase!) My family keeps an eye out for them also. In my area (40 miles west of Chicago,) they are still fairly rare. The most I've seen in one day is 4, and that was counting to and from O'Hare. I have never seen another Tideland Pearl, though. How many of "us" are there?
We don't count... we challenge each other to come up with the official color name! Went to the Portland Prius Owner's meetup event today... it was fun! photos will be posted... tomorrow (long drive, I'm exhausted)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(BellaHMB @ Jul 21 2007, 11:02 AM) </div> Yes, I do. In the Atlanta area (and not particularly intownish where I would expect to see them), I counted two in one day!
They are just beginning to be fairly plentiful around here. The most I have seen in one day is five. Today I only saw one. Now if you wanted to count Pick-up trucks and SUVs, that is another story. I don't think numbers go that high.
All the time. I set a number, say 10, and see if I see that many on my way to work, a mere 13 mile commute. When I first got HUMU in March of 2004, I could go for a day or so without seeing another Prius; now, I see at least a dozen on my commute. One morning, there were three of us driving Seaside Pearl Prii in a row and we did acknowledge that among ourselves. My favorite Prius sighting was when I was emerging from an alley in Seattle, looking for a parking space and came out onto the street to find an empty spot next to a (1) Salsa Red, (2) Brilliant White, and then (3), my Seaside Pearl pulled in making it a "red, white and blue". Wished I had my camera. This was back in 2004 when it was a novelty seeing just one Prius.
