On sunny days, the back-up camera's screen picture is almost non-existent. Is this normal? If it's cloudy or at night, I can see it fine. Do I need to adjust something? Also, is there a recommended product for clearing up those pesky fingerprint impressions from time to time without damaging the screen?
Some have bought a "hood" to block the sun's glare We incorporated a hood into our dashmat that works great. As for cleaning the screen do it when the car is off, otherwise you may re-set your mpg and miles also may activate a hidden easter egg. Also there are screen protectors on ebay, we bought one seems to keep the prints off too and saves the screen for resale purpose also Use Ammonia FREE window cleaner works great. and then a micro-fiber cloth
I just experienced the same thing with the dark screen. Are you driving with your headlights on? This will dim the light so it can be seen better at night. But during the day . . . .

Thanks to everyone who replied. I did turn up the dash lighting and that helped and I'll check into the cleaning options for the screen. Thanks again. Peabody214
There is also a seperate setting for "day mode" for the MFD screen, which is only activated when you: 1. Turn the headlights on 2. Roll the dash dimmer all the way up until it "clicks" Then you can go into the MFD settings and adjust the brightness/contrast for day mode, which should help.
