they are heavier so i assume it has affected my mpg. i used to get around 52 but now i get around 46. i'm wondering if i also need to take itin and have something adjusted so that it measures it properly or is it not going to be too much off to where it makes a big difference?
Chrome wheels would look better IMHO, I don't think there would be a need to take to the shop, except for alignment if seems to be out of.

I think those rims look great on the car. Black rims have been very popular here on many cars, the only difference is, many of them have a chrome lip or chrome ring on the outside. If it is legal in your state, you might consider a smoked license plate cover that reduces the whiteness of the plates, but still keeps it readable. De-badge it and you have the ultimate stealth prius.
I installed 17's on my Prius and have lost right around 5-6 mpg also. The stock wheels are light but ugly. You've really got to compare weights of wheels with this car if you don't want to lose mileage.

Hi GatorJoe, welcome to PriusChat. Someplace on one of the setup screens there's a screen button for recalibrating the nav system when you get new tires/wheels. I can't remember the exact screen without going out and looking, but I remember the directions are in the manual. Your car looks sharp and will look great with tinted windows. What brands/sizes are the wheels and tires?
looks great... black on black is cool.... chrome on black just looks gangsta hahaha B) tint it and you're done... do you have suspension on it? there is not much gap in the fenders so it looks nice
I like the black-on-black-on-black. Nice effect. How much did your overall wheel+tire weight change? How much did the contact patch change? Looks like the wheels are still set in pretty close together... did you go with a larger offset on the wheels? I had alignment done when we switched the '05 to 16x7's and 205/55R16's... only went from 855 revs per mile to 840, but with the change in contact patch I wanted to make sure I still had a good setup. It was worth it, sort of. Found out the (non-adjustable) left-rear is just barely "in the red" on toe-out, Toyota won't cover it, warranty-insurance won't cover it, $1800+ to replace and 2 shops are both sure the current parts are good and replacement will not fix. Next car gets a 4-wheel alignment with printed report before I drive it off the lot.
