Black Prius Police Car

    Just wanted to share with everyone that over the weekend I was stuck on the turnpike here in West Palm Beach, FL. We were sitting stopped due to an accident ahead, then on the median a black Prius undercover police car went cruising by. There was no outside markings that I could see that would indicate that was a police car. What gave it away was the blue flashing lights in the back window.

    I will be keeping my eyes out for it again and maybe get a picture.

    Someone WILL correct me if I'm wrong (I have total faith in my fellow PCers), but only cops have flashy blue. Oh, and Minnesota snow plows, they have blue, too. Firefighters and EMS have red or orange flashies.

    That's awesome! There is a Crime Scene Investigation Prius in Berkeley. I once saw it on Solano Avenue. I remember a thread that had some pictures of it also.

    I wonder what other modifications the Police Prius might have had, in addition to the lights. 'Police Specials' usually have something extra in the engine department, all the better to catch you with. Pretty sneaky using a Prius as a ghost car, eh?

    Here in Pa. only Fire and EMS people have blue flashing lights, the unmarked police cars always have RED flashing lights. Remember Kojack always put a RED flashing light ontop of his car, he, he

    not really. Most are stock under the hood. It's the suspension that gets an upgrade. The point is to avoid pursuits if possible.
