OK, I just read about the dark green color that was available for the G1 on the "new Colors for 2008" thread. After work today, on my way home from Beaverton, OR to Vancouver, WA (AKA The Couv", I saw one in the flesh (sheet metal that is) on I-5 North It had a California Car Pool sticker, so if you are a PC member, Welcome to the Pacific Northwest! The dark green looks sweet!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(priusmaybe @ Jul 12 2007, 10:07 AM) </div> First Generation or Classic Prius. The hatchback is Second Generation (2G, G2).

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(NoMoShocks @ Jul 11 2007, 07:11 PM) </div> OK, This is crazy. I don't mean that I am quoting myself. The crazy thing is tha after posting that I saw a dark green Generation 1 Prius for the first time yesterday, I saw another today at about the same time in Gresham, OR, at my son's appartment complex. Gresham is on the oposite, East side of Portland. I asked myself, "Could this be the same one? I wanted to look for the California Car Pool Lane sticker again, but this time the Green Prius was following me, no doubt thinking "Gee, I really like that Light Green Silver Pine Mica color on the newer Generation 2 Prius too!" It would be really cool if the owner of the Dark Green Prius is a poster here and will respond, "Yeah, I was heading North on I-5 Wednesday afternoon, and yes, I was in Gresham, just off Morrison Terrace, on Thursday!"

i have a dark green classic prius, when i finished fixing it from salvage i sent it to this place in jersey city and they painted it a different shade of green, the original color was flawless. heres a pic of my 01 and my sisters 01
I think its funny that such a "green" car doesn't come in Green! The shade of green it has now is not really a good color. A nice forest green would look great on it. OR Touralamine would be even better. My F350 is that color, and it is a different hue under different lights. Sometimes Deep green, sometimes blue, other times blue green.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(ACD @ Jul 14 2007, 12:17 PM) </div> No, that was intentional. The color was saved until the right time came along... especially considering its history. Waiting is required whenever dealing with Prius.
what I find kind of neat is we have here a "real" G1 and a repainted G2. I really like the G2 wheels better than the G1 origional JDM wheels. The current wheels "G3" are nothing special compared to the G2 wheels.
With California car Pool sticker?????? How on a 2008??? I was informed that the 85,000 stickers were issued and that I could NOT get one for my 2007 I just purchased???!
I'm pretty sure he saw a First Generation Prius (2001 ish) with car pool stickers.... 2008 isn't out yet. Cool your jets man.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Loail @ Jul 15 2007, 08:38 AM) </div> You probably are right......how's NYC driving Prius???
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(NoMoShocks @ Jul 11 2007, 07:11 PM) </div> Yeah, I was just referencing a thread titled New Colors for 2008, which is a spoof, and in the thead, is were I first learned that there was Dark Green offered as a color on the original G1 Prius.
