New records, MPG-wise and tank-wise: 78.2 MPG, 777 miles. Sorry, no pics. The last pip started flashing and I filled up on the way to work this morning. I generally cut it pretty close getting to work on time, so I didn't take time to dig the camera out.

Well, finally after have the car for 2 years I got into the 700s. No pictures but my last tank was 715.3 miles for 10.568 gal = 67.7 MPG. I did not change my driving route until halfway through so I hopefully, this next month's tank will be better. :D

These are some fantastic numbers! I just finished off my best tank at 660 miles 66.6 MFD (for the record manual and MFD calculations were almost identical). The best part of my numbers? It took me 26 days to use that 660 miles! Visiting the gas station once a month: Priceless!

I got 49.2 MPG / 489 Miles total on my first tank. I am not sure that's good or not..I was hoping for 55 MPG. I think the MPG will get better later on since I only have 612 miles on the car so far.

MPG: 60.2, Miles on tank: 627

627 miles include 400 miles at mostly highway speeds and 227 miles in the city/parkway. A/C was only used on the highway miles. Running 44/44 psi tire pressure.

Gallons of fuel pumped at previous gas station stop: 9.567; Dates used: July 01-July 10, 2007
Gallons of fuel pumped when refilling this tank: 10.500

Aiming for a 650-mile tank next.

2007 Barcelona Red Prius, Package 5, with less than 4500 miles on the odometer. Just finished a tank with 498.7 miles and 56.0 MPG, and I filled 9.4 gallons. Mileage has been steadily increasing each tank since I bought the car - lowest MPG was 49.1 on the very first tank. Everything else has been above 50.

Does anyone know if they actually changed anything significant about the drive electronics or programming in the 2007 as compared to the 2005 model? I had an '05, and it was much less consistent about its mileage in the exact same conditions.

I can't compete with you high mileagers here but since I'm about to hit my personal best, I'll post anyway :)

I'm at the dealer for the 45K service. Will put gas in tomorrow before my weekly trip to MA.
Currently 556 miles at 58.7 MPG. The first 388 miles were the trip to MA last week ~98% interstate (LOTS of hills) at 55 MPH. Got 59.2 MPG round trip. The rest of the tank was my normal 'around town' stuff, < 10 miles per trip, most trips a LOT less.

This one is my 4.0L/100km tank. I forgot to take the final pic when I refuelled >.< :( . It was 851.7kms.

    [attachmentid=10207]
A few weeks after the top picture, I got this tank. Trip Odo read 902.0.. so the MFD is a few hundred metres behind even though I reset both manually at the same time.

Well, I guess in a sense I'm beating the EPA number... that is, beating the 51MPG Highway number. (Even though my driving is what I'd consider "City"--I'm nowhere close to 60MPG yet!)

Current tank has 2 pips left, about 440 miles on it, and tonite when I pulled in, the MFD registered 53.5; my best yet.

A good commute yesterday afternoon -- hit all the lights right, traffic didn't bog me down. I bought a good tire gauge but haven't set new pressures yet. That's my next step.

Well broke the "magical" 60 MPG barrier this week. 1 long weekend get away trip all HWY total 220 miles. The rest was to/from work (14 miles each way- mostly HWY driving enhanced with some service road detours); plus some short drives to do errands. Tires are at 40/38; current odometer reading 6263 miles. Last 4 tanks were all above 58 MPG; the one prior to the 60 was 58.7. Calculated MPG based on fill-up was 59.8 MPG very close to the MFD reading.

Life time MPG = 53.7 (Apr. 29th 2007 to today) ... may winter cold never come ... AWW ... LOL

Terrific car in every respect! :D
Very HAPPY new (3 months) Prius owner,
    Gabe

Had 80.8 at 823 miles, went on a 100 mile, back-road, 3 1/2 hour jaunt to show the Prius at the Illinois Renewable Energy Fair in Oregon, IL. Had the Prius in ready mode all day at the Fair to show people. Filled up after the Fair closed. Final result, 931 miles on this tank at 80.1 MPG. What could it have been without the all day in ready mode.

Given my daily commute, I certainly won't be a regular contributor to this particular thread, but I finally managed to crack the magical 60 barrier on both the MFD & at the pump.

    Miles: 500.4
    Fuel: 8.039
    MPG: 62.25
    MFD: 60.7

I drive about 100 miles round trip every day for work. So I'm quite pleased with this. I've gone over 60 (barely) with one measure or the other, but never both at the same time. And, because I can't pump my own gas here in NJ, I don't have any real control over my fills. So usually my 60+ fills get balanced by something like a 52 the next time around ... even though the MFD for both will read 57.

I did it! 62 mpg on my daily commute. Now aiming for 65. Will post pix, when I get to that level.
