I just got an acceptable price (lower than local dealers from Diane "Di" at Family Toyota in San Juan Capistrano for a Camry Hybrid.. I emailed her at diane@earthlink (she's a contributer to Priuschat) requesting her lowest price. She sent me a straightforward price, no further haggling needed/expected.

I actually got an unfavorable qupte from Diane. In fact it was one of the worst quotes I had received. As of right now, Pasadena has given me the best quote.

Contact Tina at Thousand Oaks Toyota. I did, and I discussed what she had in inventory and made her an offer on the car I wanted. She was a pleasure to work and I would go back to T.O. Toyota for my next car and have no qualms recommending her to frineds looking for Toyota's.

Thousand Oaks Toyota is 45 minutes away from where I live...there are at least 6 dealerships much closer to me...but Tina de;ivered on her promise.

I just got quoted 25,700 for a package 6, at Marina Del Rey Toyota. seems like a good price no?

They just said i can't have the metallic grey for that price though...

should i go for it?

I recently bought a prius from DCM Toyota of Oxnard. The internet manager's name is Paul Choi. It was a very straightforward experience. I got a Touring package 6 for 26K even. I think that is slightly under invoice. He sold it out of their allotment "off the boat" and I was able to pick it up in a few days. Availability of touring editions seems to be somewhat constrained in the Southland at the moment so I was very happy with my deal.

I've gotten quotes for 25,900 for the prius pkg 6. If the above post is true, then I would go for a touring if you can get them to offer the same price to you. The best I could do on a touring was 26,900. I have been having a hard time getting decent quotes on a prius in SoCal. Do you think it might be because I always ask for magnetic gray?

That's funny because I had a terrible experience with her just this past week. Twice she said she would hold a car for me and both times she sold them and made some lame excuse. I ended up buying one yesterday from Cerritos Toyota after getting jerked around from Tina Friday night.

I got a package 6 for about $26K. I probably could have gotten a bit less, but I was just ready to be done with it. I got several quotes online and they were all offering about $1,500 off MSRP. The guy at Cerritos was pretty decent. He pulled out all the sales tricks when negotiating my trade in (Audi A4), but I expected that.

Anyway, he honored the internet price and everything else was pretty painless (although it took forever to get out of there). His card is in my car, but I think it's Michael Quezada?? He is the fleet manager. I think they had a black package 6 as well (at least they did as of Saturday).

Update! I got my new pkg 5 Magnetic Gray Prius! After scouring the O.C. area and I got a decent deal from Sean (fleet manager, pleasant to work with, no tricks!) at Escondido Toyota for 24,981 + TTYL. I am happy, the next best deal offered was 25,700. They were very straight forward, and not pushy, a good experience! Just watch out for the extended warranty, they initially asked for $2500!!!!!!!!!!! lol After mentioning I could get it here for $900 They went down to $1195. I could have bargained down a little more I suspect but I just said ok at that point (I think it's better than a 3rd party warranty). Good luck all those who are still looking!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you...I am very close to longo and getting a prius in a month or so so I am curious about the good price as well. Thank you.

 

This was for a base model. He qouted me a base price but I was demand the price to "out the door" so no hidden fees would be tagged on after the agreed upon price. I rough estimate for taxes, lic. and registration is 10% of the qouted price.
