Removed the emblems?

If one of youse guys taking the emblems off your car want to get rid of the rear Toyota emblem, I'll take it off your hands. Mine was ripped off (complete with screwdriver gouges) last year and I flinched when the dealer wanted $37 for a replacement. A little caulk to seal the holes (don't want water getting to the latch, and masking tape was too ugly, even for me) and some touchup paint to match the color and I have lived without a rear emblem for almost a year now.

FWIW: There is also a third hole behind the emblem but just through just one layer of plastic in addition to the two holes going all the way through for the locating pins.

I plan on just removing one of them (I HOPE they're the same size), then taking it to a decal shop to have it copied in exact size, so it'll cover the locating holes, the bumpouts will still look right, but I'll be rid of some of the last chrome on the car (can't get rid of the chrome IN the head/taillights, but might paint the grille black soon on the 06 - going to cover it in electrical tape first to get an idea how it will look).

Doesn't removing the Toyota emblem void the warrantee?

 

Has anyone out there replaced the side "HYBRID" badges with yellow (orange) turn signals? I want to do this, but I can't find any that are large enough.

Actually, I own an early 2004 model, so I don't have badges there, but if I was going to buy another Prius, I would have to find some way to deal with the silly HYBRID sign on the side of the car. It just reminds me of that South Park episode.
