Newbie here with 05 Prius with 65000 miles on it and drives like it is brand new...still has the new car scent smell I had to get rid of my LX470, always bought Toyotas but the LX was killing me on gas. About 350 a month went to that SUV just for gas  Anyway, I bought the car with a full tank, put about 300 miles on it and the meter dropped to 1 line under the halfway mark. I was lucky to get 265 miles on a full 24 gallon tank with my LX470...this car has me hooked and now Im looking for some mods. I really enjoy reading on this site and hope to get plenty of info for my gas sipper  Thanks to all...

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bshef @ Jul 5 2007, 03:46 PM) </div> I purchased it for $16,000 and personally I think thats a great price, not worried about the miles because my father has a 98 Camry 4cyl with 175,000 miles and that even still drives like it's new. Our family always bought Toyotas and we never had any problems whatsoever with them B)
Welcome to PriusChat and congratulations on your new-to-you Prius! You can read on here about long-life Prius. Do a Search for Vancouver taxi and be amazed at how well they hold up and run, with even more miles than your father's Camry.
Welcome to the club, I just recently purchased a Prius too and I am the same as you, I absolutely love it. There are so many posts on this website to inform you on any subject matter. You will find yourself lurking around here all the time just like you will be fixated on the fuel gauge on the Prius. cheers B) Mike
Congratulations! Now you're one of us BWAAHAAHAA!!! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bshef @ Jul 5 2007, 12:46 PM) </div> Ouch. My '04 is sitting about 2k below 100000. I think I drive too much...
Thanks to all for the warm welcome...I've been driving it for about 10 days now and I'm managing a smooth 52.7mpg, and how can I not love this car! Just purchased a new factory 6disc CD changer from EBAY and I was wondering if anyone knew how to install one? Thanks again everyone for being so nice, I think a tear just ran down my cheek
