Folks, when you're reading the manual, about the illustrations==how do you know if you're type 1, type 2 or type 3? Mary
The best way is to look at your MFD screen... the illustrations, I think, show the buttons... get to know what your MFD looks like. I have a base model, so I think I'm type 1 (I'd have to go look to verify),.. it has to do with whether you have the navigation, or are touring, etc.
type 1 = navigation, bluetooth, or cd changer type 2 = handsfree bluetooth with no navigation type 3 = base no cd changer no aux in type 3 is the "low resolution", 1 + 2 are the "enhanced resolution" displays type 3 does not have steering wheel controls

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(rigormortis @ Jul 1 2007, 07:54 PM) </div> That sounds correct - The ones I mentioned were on the left. On the right the rental was missing the upper set, and had only the Recirc and defrosters. This pic shows the wheel with all the buttons: Prius Wheel

On my steering wheel, on the left, I have climate controls and audio controls On the right, I have Defrost, Rear window defogger, and the Recirc button.
