I've put on just under 14k miles and have a LMPG of about 50.6mpg and still get the same rush driving her, talking about her, showing her off, and enjoying all the gadgets I did the day I got her. I've definately enjoyed other new cars, in particular my Expedition...but that was much more of a comfort, show off of size and power kinda thing...plus I was moving to Alaska so that helped that excitement. But this is so totally different. The sense of pride in doing something right to help the environment, save gas (over 1000 gallons of gas saved over what my Expedition would have used!!), promotion of this amazing technology, and just plain unique fun. What a year it's been and I've truely enjoyed sharing that experience with all of you.
Happy Birthday to your car!! In honor of your car, I'll donate 51 points for your 50.6LMPG. I hope your next year as just as enjoyable as this one has been with it! -m.
Congrats!!! hey how did you get a car so early in the Production run? Did you own a classic Prius? How far ahead did you have to order yours?
Oh, I'm in trouble. I forgot my Prius's birthday (Sunday) Good thing I asked for a nice detail for my birthday (tomorrow) but that is going to have to wait until it stops raining in So Cal. Happy Birthday to all Libra Prius!
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(paprius4030\";p=\"46172)</div> Well.... I "ordered" in May of '03, days after the announcement of the new version. When the Prius Pioneer program was announce the dealership had several pioneers that did not want to take advantage but they used those names to get several in the early acquisition for the buyers they had on their list. I was one of those.
Port Townsend, Wa Evan, thanks for all the informative posts you've made, in fact thanks to all of you for all the info you've shared, I don't post a lot but I sure enjoy reading them. Great information! Harry
Happy first year Doc. And many more happy years tooling around in your Prius. Thanks for all the great comments and articles too. Red :birthday2: :flame: arty: artytime: :birthday2:  :multi:
Congratulations, Evan, and to your vehicle. You can take considerable credit for assisting us to make the decision to go Prius... Thanks a bunch
I must be a bad 'daddy'...I've never really named the car. My kids call the NAV lady "Sophie" though.
Hey Doc, i enjoy reading your posts too, just wondering if you don't mine me asking...What kind of Doc. (MD) r u?
Congratulations. :multi: I have picked up a lot from your posts. I may get the EV mod on my car but I am looking for some one to do it. I had a bad experience installing a speaker on a previous car and I broke a panel I was removing and had to get a new one. The actual electronics and wiring is a no brainier for me but the car stuff is a mystery. Again Congratulations and thanks for the education.
