My standard 36K miles warranty will be expiring in a few days on my 2006 Prius. I'm considering buying the 6yr/100K Platinum Protection from an out-of-state Toyota dealer. I'm curious if anyone has experienced difficulty with their local dealer honoring it. Thanks -Adriano
Never had to use mine but I'm sure any Toyota dealer will honor a Toyota warranty no matter where it was purchased.
I find it intersesting that the following 3 components are excluded from the coverage: Hybrid System Main Relays Hybrid Vehicle Battery Hybrid Vehicle Battery Module/Pack

And I think in some states - like California - you get more than 8 years/80,000 miles on those parts.
