I just bought a black Prius too (and I live in the Redmond/Issaquah area)!

I hated commuting in my other car.... buring the clutch in stop-go traffic, 1st gear/stop/1st gear/stop/1st & 2nd gear/stop/repeat til infinity, wasting gas the whole way....argh. Now I can't wait to try my new Prius out in horrible traffic! LOL. But at the moment I'm waiting for the dealership to call me so I can bring it in for the 3M chip protectant (I get TONS of rocks thrown at me during my commute). So at the moment I'm not driving my Prius yet.

I bought my Prius in Burien, and Burien Toyota was offering window tinting under $300. perhaps it was only part of a new car deal??

LOL! Actually, besides suffering from massive iwannapriusrealbad, it was also a factor of income (or lack thereof) all this time. As it is, I couldn't afford the Touring model (which is what i really wanted) so I got a regular prius with package 2. But, I'm sooooooo happy with it! It goes into the dealership on monday for the 3M chip protectant film, so I can start driving it after that (don't want rock chips before it's protected!). OMG I can't wait.

At the dealership when I bought my Prius, they announced over the intercom that I was now the proud owner of a new prius, and everybody cheers 'n claps....so I put my fists above my head in the classic "gooooaaalllll!!!!" stance, grinning up at the ceiling.....and giggled like a little girl. LOL! I'm such a retard.

My neighbors are all "oooooooh! I like your new car!" and my work crew (i'm a painter now) are all like "you bought what?! Why?!" They think I should have gotten another sports car, so now I have to deal with daily harrassment. Grrrr.... :angry:

 

I'm in Kenmore (at the top end of Lake Washington). We have two (Mine is Driftwood Pearl, my wife's is Seaside Pearl).

On a typical commute into town (Seattle is about 15 miles away) I'll see about a dozen other Prii on the road.

 

I got my in late April at Michael's Toyota in Bellevue. I commute from Woodinville to Wallingford on a daliy basis and probably see at least a dozen each day.

Another Oly person here! Picked up yesterday in Yakima (4 weeks for special order instead of the Puget Sound area 8 week quote), brought it over White Pass (4500ft summit) with 50mpg.

I have a magnetic grey that I'm getting tinted tomorrow in case anyone really wanted to see the results. After some research I narrowed it down to Accutint in Seattle/Bellevue and Elite Tinting in Everett. Elite was able to get me in with short notice. The price difference is negligible. Accutint wanted $339 and Elite wanted $369.
Not to thread hijack but if anyone has got a recommendation for a good King/Snohomish county mechanic, I would be much obliged.

I am a new owner of a 2008 Prius and I live in Tacoma. I work in Centralia and see very few Prius in Lewis County. Of course, I see more in Olympia than anywhere else in the state.

One of my coworkers just bought an 08 Tundra, and though I love the truck I don't know how he can afford to drive a car that gets at best 16 mpg.

The first day I drove my new Prius to work I was continually harrassed!

I used to work at the University of Washington. Quite a few Prii there!

Now I work @ Microsoft. Even more Prii there!

Um... I'm also looking for a tint shop recommendation preferably for the Seattle or Bellevue/Renton area... Not too interested in driving all the way to Everett or Tacoma ^^;

I live in Snohomish and commute to Mt. Vernon every day (80 mile round trip). My MPG is around 45-48 because I go 72 on the freeway. I figure it's better mileage than if I had my Ford Taurus (22 mpg) and I want to get home and spend what precious time I have with my husband. He is a physics graduate student at UW.

There's another lady in Snohomish with the exact same color Prius as me, and I run into someone else on I-5 occasionally who has the same color Prius. I definitely notice them a lot more now that I have one. It seems like tons of cars on the road are Prii.



I bought my 2004 used, but if I could do it over again I'd get it new. Not sure if I could've convinced my husband, though. I wonder what trade-in value is for a 2004 Prius with 75,000 miles. I bought it for $16,500 or so (after tax) and I'm seeing similar cars selling on Craigslist for like $18,000. I guess I bought before the Prius boom.

I am also in the Seattle area. I had my tint done by Accutint in Bellevue. They did a great job. 3 years later and no sign of the tint coming off. I highly recommend this tint shop.
