I'm sorry - I wasn't aware that I couldn't be against something that the Democratic party is touting. I also don't remember saying that I even am Democrat. Please don't make an nice person out of you and me.

Nobody said you couldn't do anything - including making an nice person out of us for assuming something about my post. I asked a question to find out if you (and the board) was aware that the only ones discussing forced military service are the Democrats.

I AGREE. Freedom of speech should be just that. If you don't agree with something, than don't buy it. I can't stand Ann Coulter so I don't watch her or buy her crap books.

I do agree that the names of the dead soldiers should not be used. Say I was an American who wanted to go to Iraq and believe that we were there for a good reason and agreed with Bush, than I would not want my name in association with an anti-war t-shirt. Just like I'd be pissed if anyone put my name in association with a pro-"Operation Iraqi Freedom" t-shirt.

Since when is this criminal though? If my name is put on a tshirt with something I don't agree on, I don't expect the police to arrest the tshirt maker or lawmakers to pass state bans on this tshirt. I expect to take their asses to Judge Judy.

Fraud shouldn't be a crime? Thats a relief.... Yes take the t-shirt maker to civil court and pay restitution and re-make the t-shirt,

They used your name under false pretences to further their cause, kinda similar to using your dead family member for voting our next govenor or president into office....

A report in Sundayâ€™s editions of the Miami Herald reveals that scores of dead people and non-registered individuals were allowed to vote in Novemberâ€™s presidential election. In a survey of just 138 of Miami-Dade's 617 precincts, the paper found that 144 persons voted illegally.

The Herald study indicates that if this number is extrapolated, more than 600 votes were illegally cast in the heavily Democratic county.

Vote fraud is no stranger to the city of vice. Just three years ago, the Democratic mayor of Miami was forced from office after massive election fraud was uncovered.
This time was no different.

Here are just several examples discovered by the Herald, suggesting vote fraud was as easy as 1-2-3:

"AndrÃ© AlismÃ© died of cancer in 1997," yet records show he voted in Novemberâ€™s election.
"A Haitian immigrant, AlismÃ© registered to vote in Miami-Dade on Sept. 10, 1996. The registered Democrat cast his first and only ballot as an American citizen in the presidential election that year.

"He was 60 years old when he died the following May. After spotting his obituary in the newspaper, the Elections Department routinely verified his death with the Florida Department of Vital Statistics. Then his registration was canceled, on June 2, 1997.

"On Nov. 7, AlismÃ©'s name was resurrected at the Korean Presbyterian Church of Miami, 13700 NE 10th Ave., the polling place for Precinct 141. AlismÃ©'s name was handwritten on Page 65 of the precinct roll, along with an obvious forgery of his signature. The roll shows that Ballot No. 119451 was cast in AlismÃ©'s name.

"â€™No, no, that cannot be! AndrÃ© AlismÃ© is deceased,â€™ said Elda Suffret, who lives with AlismÃ©'s son at the family's El Portal home. â€˜There is no other AndrÃ© AlismÃ© in Miami. His sons have different names, and they are not U.S. citizens. I don't know how this could happen.â€™ "

According to the Herald, the precinct where the phony vote for Alisme was cast had a 67 percent turnout where nearly 90 percent of the presidential vote went for Al Gore.

"I am not a registered voter, but I voted,'' Michel Guerda, 20, admitted to the Herald.
Guerda voted in the same precinct where Alisme "voted." She said two girlfriends asked her to vote, and when she arrived she was asked for a photo ID and asked to sign some paperwork.

Even though Guerda was not even on voting rolls, she was quickly ushered to a voting machine to vote.

Aldo Rios voted as well â€“ though he isnâ€™t even registered to vote in Miami-Dade and his family told the Herald he lives in Union City, New Jersey.

"Claudine Richard said her mother, Claudette Richard, was allowed to vote even though she was registered outside Florida. Poll workers in Precinct 759 allowed her to vote anyway. advertisementPHOENIX â€” State lawmakers voted Monday to approve a law blocking the sale of anti-war T-shirts with the names of dead soldiers on them â€” a measure one media lawyer says is "unconstitutional about three or four different ways."
The Senate agreed to make it punishable by up to a year in jail to use the names of deceased soldiers to help sell goods. The 28-0 vote sends SB 1014 to Gov. Janet Napolitano for her signature. The measure also would let families go to court to stop the sales and collect damages.

Paton said anyone is free to put all those names on a placard and hold it up in the town square.
"It's about you selling or profiting off those soldiers' names the way somebody would off of Britney Spears," he said.

Paton said the law is legally defensible, noting there are exceptions for news reports and even in books, plays, music as well as film or videos as long as these items, by themselves, are not selling anything else.

How about the lady who's now facing criminal charges because she successfully registered her dog to vote? She was trying to make a point but I guess the authorities did not see the irony in her experiment.
