    That's REALLY expensive for that kind of mileage. I got one fully loaded for 17,500 (without stickers though) but I wouldn't pay the extra 12,500 for them, no way.
    I'd like to see a picture of the interior leather and sunroof, though.

    That is not at all certain and Ricky is getting the benefit of the doubt for the moment from the moderator team. Rickey is a dealer and has previously been suspended from posting ads here at PC for the new cars he was selling at his dealership...but that was years ago and he has respected that for all this time.



    Rickey did mod his personal prius with a sunroof and leather and at this point I have no reason not to believe that this is a private sale of his personal car. I've PM'd him asking him to confirm this. While it's still a little marginal since he clearly has plenty of resources to sell his car with his own dealership, I see no overt infraction of the private sales policy and his ad will be considered fair and legitimate until then.

    Here in CA, the Prii with the HOV lane stickers will be snatched up in a hurry, if in Dealers inventory.
    My Prius is, "Privately Owned" Mine, thus not for sale through Dealers Lot... I'm also kind of curious as
    to what Kelly Blue Book says about the "Value" of HOV lane permit sticker here in CA ! So I'm kind of _made_up_ the asking price! Thus I refer to OBO....

    its an '04 with 47k miles, and your asking 29k obo...?!?! Are you crazy? If your a dealer then you should also know that mods like the sunroof, leather, etc. give no resale value of themselves. Maybe a 1/10 of their original cost, so thats like what, $200 for the mods? You should be asking more around 18k for a private party sale.

    OBO dosent mean "or $10,000 less" it means "around there." If your expecting like 19k from a car, you dont put it at "30k obo" (haha) you put it at "20k obo" or even 21k.


    Ya, I bought my '05 package 6 for $20,100 and it had 40k miles.

    I'm just giving my experience with recient prius shopping. But this was all in IN, not CA. I have no idea how much a HOV sticker costs or what it takes to get one. But I highly doubt it raises the price of the car $12,000. If so, I'm moving to SoCal and buying up a whole lot of junkers and putting HOV stickers on them and selling them for $15k each.

    I'm in So. California. You can no longer get a new HOV sticker for a Prius, though there is talk of authorizing more (also talk of banning hybrids from the HOV lanes, or making them 3 vs. 2, etc -- due to them now often being no faster than the regular lanes). Anyone's guess what will happen at this point.

    Note that these statement apply only to SoCal; NoCal region operates HOV lanes with different policies (like limiting HOV hours to commute periods)

    Recent local newspaper articles say the added value of the HOV sticker in the used Prius marketplace is running around $4000.

    I recently saw a 1 year old fully loaded Prius with HOV stickers and about 10k miles sell for $30k on Craigslist. I don't think Ricky expects to get $30, he is just pricing it like a typical used car dealer. I am not sure that HOV stickers will be allowed for much longer. So, it is a big risk to pay a premium for a car with them.

    Having said all that, I doubt he will be able to gen more than $23-24k for that car, but he will definately get more than $20k.

    Thank you for letting me post my Prius for sale here in PC, have successfully sold my #6 packaged Prius last week for $26.430 but had to include the Toyota platinum warranty for the length of 5 years or 60.000 miles which ever comes first from last week sale date. Warranty good for the buyer through year 2012 or 106.000 miles.
