<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(xxxlmpg @ May 12 2006, 06:15 AM) </div> has anyone figured out how to override the nav system on a 2007 Prius? It's been over a year since this post....

OK, here's your update. Nobody has figured out a "soft" override---button-pushing---for 2006 or 2007. I just ain't been found, if it's there at all.

Seriously, though, this topic has been covered many times. Those of us with 2006 and newer vehicles have been unable to find an override. Trust me, people have been through the (dangerous) setup and diagnostic screens quite thoroughly.

I can't say for the 2007. It works for my 2006 with 5.1. The Coastal mod "presses" the I Agree button to get the Nav started up. When you're in motion and press the Destination physical button, you can then tap the "pushpin" icon at the top left. This then enables all the rest of the Destination screen.
I have not ever updated my maps or GPS software for fear of loosing the software override which I use every day. I did the hardware override in 2004 but the software override works much better.
