Los Angeles Prius Gathering

I've never done anything like this, but sure, I will do it. I live in the west LA area

maybe a drive up PCH or something

 

It's long overdue to have a club active somewhere in LA. There are more Prii here than anywhere, I'm sure.

How about somewhere relatively central for a first gathering - you could do it perhaps somewhere in Holllywood, or just over the hill in Studio City?

Another suggestion is for you to talk to the OC Prius Club people and find out how they establish gatherings, what the best type of locations are, etc.

Anyway, I'm game - add my name to the list.

I think that would be a blast! Can you imagine if 10 or 20 or more Prii drove around together? If you've ever been stuck in the middle of a motorcycle club on the fwy that is the effect I'm talking about. :lol:

LOL, what about Jessica Alba and Kirsten Dunst? That might get the Male Prii drivers to join in, full force.

 

if i was going to a LA prius gathering, i would want the gathering to be at Vasquez Rocks, home of star trek tos episodes, arena, the alternative factor, shore leave and fridays child!

 

I'm in. I'll bring some DICE stuff for kicks if you like.

 

How about having a gathering at,

1) Travel Town Griffith Park?
2) LA Zoo?
3) Disney Concert Hall downtown LA?

BTW, where in LA is everyone located, LA is a big place?

i might be able to make it. i live in studio city.

when i got my new 02 tbird, a group of about 8 of us met at the mel's diner on sunset, had special parking ready for us, ate brunch, and then drove up pch to santa barbara to meet with other "new birds." we met at some burger joint and had a great time.

maybe we could do a smaller version of that, meet somewhere in hollywood or studio city with perhaps a bigger parking lot (wouldn't it be awesome to do it where those oil pumps are??? - not sure if there's any parking lots near there with the pumps as a backdrop) and caravan to malibu. maybe we could get a park there to reserve some parking spots for us, and we could picnic there. i don't know the parks there too well, but i'm sure somebody here does.

just an initial thought.

dustin hoffman and tony shalhoub also drive a prius . . . not at the same time . . . they each have their own, i mean.

I'm in the 'burbs, but I drive all over, thus why I now own a prius.

It would be fun to have dozens and dozens of Prii descend upon a location, wouldn't it? I wonder if we could get the word out and celebs just might show up?

I'm in Pueblo Colorado, but I would love to attend!! I will be in the L.A. / SoCal area from 7/9-7/14. if its between those times great! otherwise nevermind.

I'll join depending on the date and time. I'm in Monterey Park. I would think downtown LA is the most central place.
