We just traded in our '05 Prius for an '07 Prius Touring (which corners MUCH better, rides smoother, has less cabin noise, & feels much more solid than the '05 & the non-touring '07 we test drove). I'm frustrated, though, by my inability to find instructions in the Owner's Manual for disabling the car horn, which honks (a very meek honk, as my spouse points out, but I still hate the noise) whenever we lock or unlock the car. I know our '05 didn't do this. But I can't remember if that's because we asked to have the horn honk disabled when the SmartKey was initially programmed for the car. Does anybody know the answer to this one?

That's a tough one to answer. My 2007 touring does not honk when locking the doors. It beeps a little beep, but the horn is not involved. If that is a variable option, I bet the dealer is the one to call.
