Just before the 2004 elections, Tim Griffin mistakenly sent emails containing caging lists to RNC.com, a Republican parody site, instead of RNC.org. After John Conyers requested these emails to begin an investigation, Griffin resigned. This was 2 weeks ago, and nobody here is talking about it?
Most people don't know who Griffen is. Those that do, aren't sure this will lead to anything substantial yet.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Dragonfly @ Jun 12 2007, 11:16 AM) </div> No, it's not. It may be for you or me. But to joe six pack or timmy tree hugger....they say "griffen who?" US Attorney? caging?
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Darwood @ Jun 12 2007, 11:26 AM) </div> Okay...I confess my blissful ignorance on this initially but I was intrigued enough to look it up. I'm not condoning what the guy did but I'm a bit confused. Isn't it a stretch to play the race card here? I would think the target would be Democratic voters and that race or social class would be coincidental.
This issue was being discussed on 1150 AM here in Los Angeles. That was two weeks ago at best. I think it was the Randi Rhodes show / Air America. Some of us are listening.....
Tim Griffin has now joined Fred Thompson's campaign. So if Fred Thompson ends up getting the Republican nomination and winning the election, you'll know why.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(pkjohna @ Jun 12 2007, 11:57 AM) </div> These appear to be a couple of primary sources on the story. It'll be interesting to see if any investigation comes of it. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hycamguy07 @ Jun , 09:23 AM)</div> I know you're trying to be facetious, but you are actually making my point for me. What has become "news" has turned into gossip & entertainment. This is an issue everyone should care about, regardless of political leaning. But unless you listen to Randi Rhodes (as stated above - that is where I heard it) or read this thread, you'd probably never know about it. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(larkinmj @ Jun , 10:10 AM)</div> Wow. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(MegansPrius @ Jun , 10:25 AM)</div> This should be making national headlines. Instead we get Paris.
