The caging emails

    Just before the 2004 elections, Tim Griffin mistakenly sent emails containing caging lists to RNC.com, a Republican parody site, instead of RNC.org. After John Conyers requested these emails to begin an investigation, Griffin resigned.

    This was 2 weeks ago, and nobody here is talking about it?

    Most people don't know who Griffen is.
    Those that do, aren't sure this will lead to anything substantial yet.

    Okay...I confess my blissful ignorance on this initially but I was intrigued enough to look it up. I'm not condoning what the guy did but I'm a bit confused. Isn't it a stretch to play the race card here? I would think the target would be Democratic voters and that race or social class would be coincidental.

    This issue was being discussed on 1150 AM here in Los Angeles. That was two weeks ago at best. I think it was the Randi Rhodes show / Air America. Some of us are listening.....

    Tim Griffin has now joined Fred Thompson's campaign. So if Fred Thompson ends up getting the Republican nomination and winning the election, you'll know why.

This is an issue everyone should care about, regardless of political leaning.
