Nice overview. I especially like this part: "And Toyota has announced a family of Prii, including a station wagon and a smaller city car." Prius has become synonymous with Hybrid just as asking for a "Kleenex" or "Xeroxing" a paper. That's not an easy thing to do. And I think a family of Prii is just the ticket. That Prius stationwagon may supplant the Van and even the SUV for families.
Very good article. Be sure to read thru the comments after the article. The first few are quite negative but they quickly even out.
So, where does the line for the HSD Tacoma start? Seriously, though, Toyota's done an amazing thing with the vehicle they took a risk with back in 1997. Now it's a household name, appearing in everything from music videos to t.v. commercials to video games - even appearing as a player piece in Monopoly! As we say in the Navy, Bravo Zulu Toyota!
Not too bad an article. Good to see that there are more logical people (looking at the comments) and that they're are both promoting the pros and acknowledging the cons of hybrids rather than flat-out being pro-hybrid which would do more harm than good.
