Any prius owners Age 25 or younger here???

how about age 25 and younger who actually paid for their prius? :blink: i have yet to meet a 16 year old who can afford to buy a new car independently.

i agree the grad/ABD group is all about the prius. heck, the postdocs are all about it too.

Well I am 29 now, but 10 years ago I bought my previous new car independantly, it was a 1997 Eagle Talon. It wasn't the payment that killed me though, it was the price of insurance for being a 19 y/o male with a new car w/ full coverage. I hated the payments so much that I paid extra each month and had it paid for before my goal of the year 2000. I hadn't had to make a single payment on a car until I picked up my '07 Prius on April 1st. I married my wife when she was 18, 6 years ago, all this time she just thought I was loaded, but she is stuck with me now. MWHAHAHA <-- Dr. Evil laugh

 

I'm 24 (25 in a month) and bought my Prius in April -

This is my first time posting, but this place helped me a lot when I was doing research on the car. Even helped me to get a better deal on the package that I wanted.

I'm 23. I bought my '04 Prius in December 2006 and converted it to a plug-in hybrid.

 

I bought my Prius when I was 24. Now I am 25, and no mom and dad are not paying for it....

 

Well, I am double 25 and then some, but our 'soon to arrive' Prius will be the first BRAND NEW vehicle I purchased in over 40 years.

My father co-signed on a 1968 Reneault (yeah, don't make them any more do they?) He asked me "do you really LOVE this car babe?" "Yes, I really do!" "Well, remember the feeling and compare it to how you feel in 5 years when it is paid for. That's the true test as to whether or not you bought the right vehicle!"

Ours isn't even here and I love it - which is probably good since it may be the LAST BRAND NEW vehicle I'll own unless I make it another 40 years!

I'm with you (sort of). In 50 years of driving, the Prius is the first new car I've ever owned. When I got it, I figured it would probably be the last as well. I went for the full package available at the time (at least in the northwest).

I'm 18 so I guess I'm 3rd youngest! I got out of college (accelerated program) last year and since I've been doing so much commuting and will likely continue that for years to come, plus the impending end of the tax credit, plus the college grad discount, the Prius seemed like the smartest thing to do right now.

 

22 here. Just ordered mine and am waiting till june 9th to get mine. Waiting anxiously and absorbing these borads with every second of free time I have.

 

24, bought when I was 22 in August of 2005. It was my graduation gift to myself. '05 Package 4 seaside pearl.

 

25 here, 26 in july, buying my own prii, bought my first car 8 yrs ago and now I have a new baby. package 5 07, shes beautiful

 

i'm 23. i was only 21 when i purchased my prius. i've been paying for it.. well.. 95% of the time. a few times i have moved and had to switch around jobs. my parents are good to me

I have a friend who's the same age. he's about to purchase a new one. another friend wants one... but... well... that will take a bit. he needs a job first.. lol

 

I just bought a new 2007 prius, option package # 5, in seaside pearl! I'm 18, and yes I'm working my butt off to pay for it, but it's well worth it!

 

My wife and I are 25, and we bought the Prius 3 weeks ago.

 

I'm 23 in San Jose, CA... fairly big city... don't care much about looks (although I think the Prius is super cute).... I got rid of the sports car I loved in order to get the Prius... maybe it's my fairly good education that made me feel like I should be eco-friendly!

 

I am 20 and just bought my Prius today... I can't wait to get it out on the road.
