Too cool! I just saw the new Toyota commercial featuring a Prius zipping down a road, plowing up asphalt. The asphalt covers the Prius (which tries to shake it off), a little gopher pops up in the road and looks around, then the asphalt comes off and it's a Toyota Camry hybrid. The voice over says something like "Road proven Prius technology...the new Camry hybrid." Now, this isn't an exact quote...I was online on another website so the voice over I've listed is probably jumbled. Still, the commercial did catch my attention!

At least I got part of the voice over correct. for all those not looking at the cool linky provided by HolyPotato: "Road proven Prius technology...now in a Camry. The Camry Hybrid...from Toyota." It looks like the road part was filmed out in the Mohave near Joshua Tree National Monument/Twentynine Palms, etc. It's been a long time since I've been out that way, but you never forget what a Joshua Tree looks like.

When I saw the commercial, I said it was like the road swallowed a diamond, and pooped out a lump of coal. I was just kidding, of course. Cool that Toyota is already starting to use the Prius "brand" to market fuel efficiency.
Yeah, I was watching tv and there was a Prius driving down the road. Then Wham, Bam, the road up and engulfed it. I was like, "ok, that's odd." The next time my wife and I were watching tv together and it came on, she had pretty much the same reaction. All in all, I think it's a pretty neat commercial.
