Hello, I finally have the Toyota Sirius adapter and DICE HD/ Ipod adapter installed with the dip switches set correctly ( Up, Down, Up, Up from Lt to Rt as per Best Buy). My plan was to take a number of pics and post but I want to make sure some of the oddities I am seeing are known issues and not due to old firmwares/dip switch problems or something like that.

Sirius adapter- This works very well. Every now and then I will get a loss of signal which did not happed with my last Sirius radio but it is infrequent and only lasts a second or two.

HD radio- This is definitely not something you can operate without reading the directions first. Having said that, it works very well.

Ipod adapter- I am encountering a few bugs here.

I press the audio button on the dash or mode button on the steering wheel controls to switch the MFD to CD changer mode. I can go to CD5 and set it to IPOD by scrolling through the track and seek button or steering wheel controls for up/ down.. No problem there.

Once set for IPOD I go to CD1 which enables me to select the previous and next song and it seems to work just fine. But when I select CD2 in Ipod there seems to be problems going from one playlist to the next. This morning, it would pause 4-5 seconds before going to the next playlist or not go at all. Not every time but every 3rd or 4th time. I reset the Ipod and plugged it back. However, the same thing occurred. I just went out at lunch and tried it again after reseting the ipod and it would not change the playlist at all for a few minutes and when it finally did it was not the next playlist but the 6th.

I did figure out that once I am in the correct playlist I can switch it back to CD1 in the ipod mode and scroll up and down the songs easily and without pause.

I noticed that INIT came up on the screen after resetting my Ipod and I did wait until it was complete to try changing the playlists . Wouldn’t this reflect the dip switches being set up wrongly to “DICE mode†and not “IPOD modeâ€. Again, BB said the dip switches were correct. If the dip switches were set to “Dice mode†would it account for the Ipod problems I am having and do you have any other ideas?

    Thanks,

You have it in the right mode - don't worry about the DIP switches. Do you have alot of playlists on your iPod? Also, have you tried resetting it?

Hello, I have 10 playlists and I have reset it a few times.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I will try it again tonight and let you know if I discover anything.

Hello, over the last few days I have been playing with the ipod function of the DICE module. The playlist function works most of the time. I find that playlist mode begins with file 1 (playlist 1) and when I click up to go to file 2 it will sometimes stay at file 1 and whatever is playing will skip a few seconds forward. I will click up again and it will sometimes go to file 3 (skipping file 2). Sometimes it will skip 2-3 files at at time. I have tried to find a predictable pattern to its behavior but have been unsuccessful. Again, this is only about 20% of the time or so. I would appreciate any input that could help me with this situation. All other aspects of the DICE unit work as described. One thing that I realized after buying the DICE is that the album function only advances to the next album INSIDE THE CURRENT PLAYLIST and not over the entire album list on the ipod. This was described in the manual. To me this was not a big deal but I thought everyone should know. Thanks ahead of time for any assistance.

Hold onto it for a few weeks and I can swap it out. I'm out of stock right now.
