well i, for one, am VERY happy about the server change, or whatever happened last night... because i can NOW access PC from work!!!!!! YAY YAY YAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!
If they had it blocked before, odds are it'll be blocked again - it just may take a few days/weeks. It is always nice to have a surprise like this, though
i do not know???? it's actually strange how it works..... and server moves DO seem to affect (effect? never can figure out which one?) anyways... a whole slew of my blog buddies are hosted by the same company... NEVER any problems accessing them... then they moved servers and i can't access any of them anymore another forum i was on.... could access.... i think, they, too moved servers and can't access them! i'm not sure how the nazi's figure out what stays and what goes (other than the usual.... no youtube, no my space, no hotmail, etc) what really baffles me is to hear of people STILL getting in trouble for accessing porn on they work computers?????? i can't read about priuses or fitness? but these idiots are finding/accessing porn???????

Out of curiosity, I looked up Priuschat in the the software that I use for blocking sites and Priuschat isn't even in the database. I use Websense which lets me block by categories such as online email access, sexual content or illegal activities. Interestingly enough, the other Prius message board does show up in the database under the "Message Boards and Clubs" category. So at my location people can chat about their Prius without getting blocked because Priuschat isn't in there and I don't have message boards blocked.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Trevor @ May 31 2007, 11:21 AM) </div> Priuschat or at least Fred's meets two of those criteria!
Honest, I never read a thing about sexual content until it was waaay too late. Besides, it's only the people who already have their minds in the gutter who understand. I suppose I could revert to being cerebral, but it wouldn't be nearly so much fun.
Priuschat's old IP address was, oddly enough, part of a RIPE block [european registry] that 1and1 somehow managed to route to the US instead. If your blocking involves selection based on known offshore netblocks [RIPE, APNIC, LACNIC, etc] then the old site could have gotten blackballed along with that, and now works because it's in a stateside block somewhere in or near Lansing MI. . Now, back to work, you! . _H*
