Hi all. New member here. Less than 1000 miles on my 2007 Package 5 Prius. I totally love the car, but it's making a noise and I don't know whether it's normal or not. When I just start moving from a stop, or just as I'm slowing to a stop, I hear a low whirring noise (like a small motor moving something) that appears to be coming from the front left of the car (it actually sounds like it's coming from under the driver's side dash, but that could just be because that's where I am). It doesn't always happen, and it sometimes only happens when starting up and sometimes only happens when coming to a stop. I'm sure it's normal, but I wanted to check. Anyone know what this is? Thanks.
Not sure, but i've heard the same thing... I assume it's a normal Prius noise. (Just got a 2007 Touring package #2)
Probably the ABS brake system pumping back up. Can do it when you accelerate or stop. I hate that particular sound. Sounds like a buzzing, coming from the front of the car. It totally ruins stealth mode.
