Frankly, I'm just trying to find a dealer in Chicagoland who wants to sell me a car! It's like the bizzaro-world of car dealers: 1) Went to Elmhurst Toyota a couple of weeks ago - no one was in there and I couldn't get anyone to wait on me. When they finally did, I knew more about the car than the salesman; couldn't get the conversation moving and practically had to beg to get a test drive. Then they just let me walk out without any discussion. 2) Went to Continental/Countryside and a nice guy let me test drive one after I asked, but it stopped there. No attempt to engage me in a conversation that might actually lead to selling me a car. I left. 3) Went to Oakbrook/Westmont. They wrote down my name & number and the package/color I was interested in and said they'd contact me but never did. 4) Went to Lombard Toyota and actually sat down with them but they were classically sleazy and insulting, and wouldn't budge from MSRP; I wanted to take a shower after I left. 4) Emailed Grossinger an inquiry twice and only got a canned 2-line response that they would get back to me. They haven't. Really, I don't have cooties; I just want to buy a Prius!
Please call Grossinger directly. Call (847) 675-7100 and ask for Kevin Fernquist. When you get Kevin - or in your voicemail - tell him that Tony Schaefer of the Chicago Prius Group told you to call him. Yes call me Kevin at Grossinger I will make your buying very easy if you pick a car in stock my price is dealer invoice or just above I disclose everything. No problems , bad attitudes or run around.

I just did well with George Van Syckel at St. Charles Toyota/Scion (888-839-0266). I am pleased with the price I paid for a factory ordered 2008 Touring #6. Jim
We also liked Kevin a lot when we got our Prius, but this week I found he's at a different (still Grossinger, but not Toyota) dealership now, alas.
