I had an awful dream this morning: We had been at dinner with friends, and we were leaving to go to a show. There were several of us, so we were taking more than one car. When I got to our Prius, which was parked way back in a dark part of the lot, the hood was open. I remember thinking "I don't remember leaving the hood open?!?" I walked around front and looked in, and the only thing inside was the engine block. Someone had ripped off every piece that could be taken, everything. The rest of the dream involved the usual stress dream problems of nothing working. I called the police on my cell phone and got a recording, I went into the mall (now there was a mall where we had been eating) and got stuck with a pimply faced security guard. I knew I was going to have to get the car towed, and I didn't know how I was going to get to the show. I was also stressing about how well it could be fixed and telling myself it's only a car - they can fix it. Boy, I was happy to wake up. I feel like I need to to out and look under the hood just to make sure everything is still there! Tom
Funny you should mention Prius dreams. I had one a couple nights ago. I went out to the car in the morning to go to work, and as I was driving along, I noticed that that battery was at 1 pink bar. And it just wouldn't recharge. Of course it never occurred to me that there might actually be something wrong with the car. All I could think was "Great. The ICE is going to continue running and just kill my mileage." I hope everything is still under your car's hood.

I think I'll go out and give the ol' Prius a pat on the spoiler just to feel better. One standard trick on wooden boats is to sleep on board the first night after launching, just to watch for leaks. If you dangle an arm over the side of the berth, there is a good chance you will wake up before the water gets too deep. Tom

Completely off topic, but I was just walking up from the marina, and I saw a gen 1 Prius parked outside the post office - right here in little ol' Northport! How cool is that! Tom
I know what you mean, Tom. I too had a weird Prius dream. I'd had my new Prius for about 3-4 weeks and realized that I hadn't been out driving at night in it. I guess since I had been thinking about that and about where the light switch is etc, that I dreamt that while out driving at night I had turned on the lights and finding that my entire windshield had turned into a MFD and that I couldn't see where I was going! I can remember thinking "this will never do, I can't see well enought to drive this car at night! " Thank goodness I then woke up!
