I have received an internet quote on a 2007 package 6 in Metallic Gray for 26,033, what do you guys think of this price, should I talk him down or is this pretty much what I can expect? There are none on the lot and the car has to be ordered. Also, I am new to this whole "car buying" thing, does anyone have any clue on the taxes on these cars? Any help is greatly appreciated.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(traydragen @ May 21 2007, 11:57 AM) </div> Well, this may be happy news, or depressing news. The true cost of the car is the "out the door", cash from pocket, sign on the dotted line. Here in Calif. there are "add on's, State Tax is one of them, then the DMV wants a piece of the action, there are other dealer "so called " fees that seem to crawl into the deal. I hated all the BS that the dealers peddelrs pushed so I applied thru COSTCO, beat the original peddelers quotes, had them throw in the fancy floor mats and did the deal. I paid $30,077.41 out the door for a 2007 #6 packaged with leather. I feel I did good. I also was fortunate to get the "0" down, 2 year contract with "0%" intrest, that was like an additional 4.5% off the cost, had I cashed it out. If you have a COSTCO in your area it's well worth the investigation. Trust very little what the peddler tell you. They are professional dancers!

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(dsmithpdx @ May 21 2007, 05:32 PM) </div> It's a non-touring. lromero, was that car in stock or did the dealership have to order it for you? Let me know.
I got a price today on a touring pkg 6 with xm radion and mats for 27300? sound like it may be high? any help would be appreciated
Hi all First post and we bought the Prius yesterday.Looks like I did pretty good then! We just paid $25,144.26 for our blue 07 package #6 not including tax and title. Ride home was 186 miles and got 47.6 mpg. not bad eh.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(catchabigone @ May 22 2007, 02:16 PM) </div> Did you get a touring or a non-touring? If it's a touring, it's truly an exceptional price.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(shrinkwrap @ May 22 2007, 04:49 PM) </div> 2007 Prius package #6 Touring. Out the door including platinum extended warranty, for 7 years/75000 miles for $27,935.00.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(traydragen @ May 21 2007, 01:57 PM) </div> Look through www.carbuyingtips.com, contact the internet sales managers, remember that everything is negotiable, if you don't like something threaten to walk, and if you can't reach a satisfactory deal walk. Do all of the negotiating via e-mail. You should spend very little time at the dealer completing paperwork. You can not order a specific car but you can tell every dealer exactly what you are looking for. If you are willing to pay a fair price you should be able to find someone who has the car or who will get the car. IMO the incentives Toyota has in place now will probably not be extended next month. Hybrid demand follows gas prices. Happy hunting and here's hoping you find exactly what you want.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(catchabigone @ May 22 2007, 02:16 PM) </div> no not a touring pkg but still a screaming deal I think, it was 4400.00 off the sticker price, 2000,00 for package incentive and 2400 off cause I'm good lookin I guess!!!! No these cars were advertised specials and I just stopped in for a price and ended up driving home a new blue PRIUS. Knew nothing about the specials. LUCKY I GUESS
Helped my mother car shop and we picked up a silver '07 with package 6 last weekend for $27,000 out the door. This is Southern California, so tax was 8.25% and if you consider the other misc title, reg fees, that means we paid around $24,700 for the car itself. Not sure if this applies to all Toyota dealers, but the one we went to in Irvine, had a $2,000 discount on all Priuses until the end of this month. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(traydragen @ May 21 2007, 11:57 AM) </div>
